RESOLVED Strange Problem with Home Link

After a most productive visit form Lucid service the garage door opener usually works like a champ. Sometimes for some unknown reason the door will come down partially and the lights on the opener will flash indicating a blockage in the door. This can usually be rectified by moving the car further from the door (to end of driveway), sometimes just trying again. Annoying but since it is a random occurrence I can live with it. I want to thank and compliment the Scottsdale team for outstanding service and patience.

Please take a video of you trying to program the Homelink setup in the car - it would make it much easier to diagnose and help you :)
Right now the home link only takes me to set up. I'll have to play some more.

This may be caused by the LiDAR reflecting off of your safety sensors at the bottom of the garage door track. Consider adding a small piece of foil or something to block the LIDAR from activating the receiver. You might also consider something like this (depending on the brand): Sensor Sun Shade for Genie Brand Garage Door Block Style Sensors, Sensor Shield, Sun Blocker, Black https://a.co/d/d4Dr8fM

Thank you. 1 inch foil shield -- works like a champ!

A little cardboard shield taped to sensor, problem solved. May have to use something more substantial should rain/snow cause the cardboard to sag or crumple.
