Starting to regret getting this car...

Can you send the song you used to get the rattle? I have the same issue, but the tech couldn't reproduce it. I also hear a rattle from the back whenever driving in the city/going over small bumps.
Ask for the newer rear shelf. It's slightly smaller and provides a gap between the shelf and the rear glass (the source of the squeaking/rattle). It fixes it 100%. It's been a solved issue for a while now.

How do you ask for the newer rear shelf? Is there specific part number for revised shelf? My car has been in for the rear parcel shelf rattle twice and it always come back after about 2 weeks. Each time service tried to fix with inserting jam plastic between shelf and rear glass. I am guessing after driving it shifts and start rattling again. Depending on outside temp and humidity levels the rattle is more or less pronounced due to material expansion/contraction. This is the only thing in the car that bothers me at this point.

“I need my parcel shelf replaced with the newest revision because I have a rattle that won’t go away.”

I used the exact wording and entered the service request through the app. 5 minutes later Dana from KOP called to confirm and now I have an expedited appointment to have the shelf replaced. She did mentioned that they just started receiving more revised shelfs. Overall great service experience and communication from KOP service center. Kudos to Dana!

I'm emailing Dana for an appointment. I need this rattle gone after mine was taken apart and put back last year. I have the foam in but it still rattles.

I'm a previous Tesla owner, got my first Lucid (Air Touring) a couple of months ago. Performance, handling, and overall driving experience is great - as expected. However, it's been one issue after another since day one... not acceptable for a $90K/luxury car in my opinion.

I walked up to my car earlier today, parked in my garage, still plugged-in to the Lucid charger from when I came home last night. Sadly, I'm used to door handles not presenting all the time right away but this time there was no response at all despite my phone being in my pocket and key-fob in my hand. Pushing the key-fob button didn't do anything. Lucid app on my phone stuck with "still waking up" spinner. I also tried using the keycard with no luck. The car/computer is completely unresponsive, despite having EV battery fully charged based on charging notifications I received overnight. Very frustrating not being able to leave the house but at the same time lucky this didn't happen while I was out. It's Sunday and Lucid Customer Service is closed. The roadside politely offered to tow it to the nearest Lucid service 80 miles away (dumb decision on my end to get a Lucid before they open a service shop in my town). The tow truck dispatch said they see this problem often, suggested I wait a few hours as it might miraculously solve itself ("these cars sometimes just decide to take a break"). Waiting now until the morning and if no change, I'll be towing it to service, which I already know is backed up and won't be able to work on it for few weeks. I know this because I have an appointment for a different issue scheduled 3 weeks from now, which was the first available appt when I made it 2 weeks ago.

Few days after picking up the car from a Lucid studio, the driver-side rear door handle didn't present when I walked up to it so I tapped it with my finger, which usually does the trick after a short delay (annoying). This time the handle pulled in and remained in that position for a bit then popped out but I was not able to open the door by pulling the handle like usual. I was not able to open that door for several weeks, until Lucid service tech came out and replaced the faulty lock assembly. The handle remained presented the whole time, even while driving. These problems were successfully fixed during 2nd scheduled service appt at my home, after the service tech obtained the necessary replacement parts.

During the same service appt I've reported how the auto unlocking/locking doesn't work well, how random it is. The tech verified that my Lucid app has location permission set to 'always' on my phone and then told me that my key-fob battery needs to be replaced. I said I already did that, replaced with a brand-new Energizer Max battery. The tech suggested it had to be a Panasonic battery for it to work well and replaced it with one of those. As expected, the problem did not go away - the automatic locking/unlocking is just as bad as before battery replacement suggesting the computer has connectivity problems and/or poor signal processing.

A couple of months ago, the day I drove the car off from the Lucid studio, I noticed that certain songs I played caused a rattle in the area behind the passenger-side rear seat. It makes it sound like a poor-quality system in a cheap car. Somewhat different type of rattle can be heard when the sounds system is not on at all. The service tech said he couldn't reproduce it even though he was able to hear it in videos that I took and played for him. For second service tech visit, I found a song that consistently makes the rattle sound, and the tech was able to hear it in person. He identified the rattle was coming from the rear deck/trim panel or parcel shelf. The rattle can be heard by tapping on the outside cross panel above rear windshield. For this to be fixed, I have a tow-out to Lucid service scheduled in 3 weeks as it cannot be completed at my home.

A smaller issue but also annoying... Lucid floor mats are detaching from floor pins and sliding under my feet - I have to realign and push them back onto the floor pins every time I enter/exit the car. All floor mat corners in this car have been curved up since day one.

Issues with media memory/connectivity - my music favorites often disappear for a while then reappear. Sirius satellite radio connectivity issues are frequent in the same locations in which my previous cars never had issues acquiring signal. Bluetooth/Apple car integration is buggy and sometimes doesn't respond or function properly.
Wow, and I thought I was the only one. The keys fob sucks, the keyless connectivity is spotty at best. How many times have I waved the phone around the door, mirror trying to get it to unlock while getting rained on ….
And then there is the wind noise from the drivers side mirror.
Yes the car drives better than anything else I’ve owned, Porsche, BMW, Audi BUT,
a $90K car that makes me stand in the rain is not acceptable and the wind noise - total failure. When my lease is up it’s going back. Makes me sad too.

Same, if the phone is in my pocket I have about an 90% to 95% success rate but if the phone is out of my pocket and screen it lit up \ active then it becomes a 98% success rate. For the times it doesn't work, pushing the handle does the trick. It has not been a big issue for me for well over a year.
I have a slightly different though similar experience... assuming my phone has not been near the car and caused the passive unlock disabled situation, if I have my phone (iPhone) in my hand , awake, it's about a 99% success rate. If it's in my back pocket, often even the door handles won't trigger an unlock. If it's in a front pocket, it's a bit better but still sometimes a complete fail.

Of course there are other times that regardless of what pocket it's in it works (usually when I don't want it to; probably has to do with phone's bluetooth state). Bottom line for me is I've gotten use to pulling it out as I approach the car and it's "nearly" flawless. Obviously it would be nice if it just worked regardless, but at least it's a relatively minor inconvenience to have it always function. Do I wish it was better? Absolutely, but at least there is workaround, for me anyway. That's just my experience, as always, ymmv.

I got Lucid Air pure in August 2024. I remember buying in first Tesla in 2020 and it was a stressful decision as my life is busy and I did not have time for repairs when the service was bad. Fortunately for me over 4 years of ownership I had no issues. My family hated the ride quality of Tesla so I sold it last year and got Lucid. I knew the risks and I was willing to live with them. For me the car has been reliable. Only issue I have run into is doors unlocking slowly. I refuse to carry a fob. So when I am in a public place and my car is not opening I open the Lucid app as it somehow opens the door locks. Other times I pretend to make a fake phone call so people don’t find out that doors are not unlocking. I am hoping that they will eventually figure this out.
Hilarious. Seriously tho, we gotta be able to get in the car with confidence. Same issues and hopeful over time I don’t continue to run into this.
