Clicking sound from under the car in cold weather

That's how it sounds like

It would be helpful to get a bit more definitive answer as to whether this is something that is Just Fine to drive with until things warm up and melt, or whether the noise (clicking, etc) indicates something that could or would eventually break. Those of you who've had this happen, did it resolve itself or not?

Just happened to be on the phone with Natick and they hadn't heard of issues, but it sure sounds like it could happen here in "wintry mix" territory of coastal Maine.
I live in Buffalo and have had it happen multiple times last year and this year. It always resolves itself eventually. And I am not aware of any direct or indirect problems as a result. But I also share your concerns about this.

Similar to my concerns on the way the door handles respond after driving through the snow and parking outside while the snow continues. The loud cracking sound after hearing the handles trying multiple times to extend does not inspire confidence.

Mind you, that happens to all cars when gaskets are frozen.
Quick remedy, use a silicone based grease, or, simply a glycerine and apply to all of your black rubber door seals.

I’ve had this clicking issue/noise since I have owned the car ; this will be my third winter with the vehicle. As has been previously discussed, it is the result of the louvers or vents opening and closing, and perhaps there is some ice buildup, impeding proper motion. From my personal experience, it self resolves, and has never caused an issue with my vehicle.

Doesn't this mean that Lucid and other manufacturers haven't designed this feature with necessary robustness?
Or that it doesn’t matter too much if it ices over, as it will eventually un-ice.

Most reports seem to have been that they eventually work fine, and the clicking sound is annoying but doesn’t break them or anything.

But could also be that it isn’t robust enough, or should have some kind of heating there - I’m not sure.

Crazy thought but - has anyone tried using the “De-Ice” button? I’m wondering if that would help? I don’t live in a cold enough climate to check.

“De-Ice Mode combines defrost, automatic wiper blade movement, and wiper fluid to clear ice that may be obstructing the view through the windshield.”

Sounds like no, unless they’ve updated it.

Okay, this is your Capitan of 747.
Hang tight, wel will eventually un-ice.

This is a nice line but very untrue. Please stop spreading it. It has been tested extensively in both snow and freezing conditions. The AGS freezing isn’t limited to the Lucid Air, either.

And in case you only thought it was a recent thing, this is from 7 years ago:
Omg Borski ! That looks like so much fun, is this track open for owners to test their cars on ? That looks like so much fun ! Thanks for the gentle reminder !

Haha I have no idea where that is.

This car kicks ass in the snow!!!

I would love a winter meet and greet, for a small fee you can swap out your rims for some winter fun tires that can handle some of those curves.
