My mistake, I meant to say I disabled "auto lock/unlock" hoping it makes the keyfob work more reliably using buttons only.

Yeah disable passive entry, squeeze the fob to unlock and present door handles until they’ve demonstrated they’ve actually fixed these problems. I cannot say enough good things about Lucid service and sales and all their customer facing representatives, and feel sorry for them they keep being handed these messes from the factory, software and Lucid financial to clean up. Like my awesome SA is literally rapidly responding to texts from me on a Sunday about a wrong delivery time and wrong purchase agreement, so these are truly good hardworking people and I hope the rest of the company eventually makes it so they have less fires to put out.

The restart instructions are right in the manual. The manual also states that you can hard reboot if you hold for longer, I think 60 seconds instead of 30.

Manual is your friend. In 12.1.1 - en-US version there is section called Restarting the Pilot Panel on the page 196. I'm working on inspection doc for myself and got this in my notes:

Soft reboot – While in Park press break pedal, Cancel (X), and Voice Assistant (Mic) buttons for 10 – 15 seconds. You should hear a single chime to release the buttons. Wait for the screens to load.
Hard reboot – While in Park press break pedal, Cancel (X), and Voice Assistant (Mic) buttons for 20 – 25 seconds. You should hear double chime to release the buttons. Wait for the screens to load.
Vehicle power cycle – Park, exit, lock the vehicle and walk away at least 50 ft (or use a good, working faraday pouch for key fob, or remove battery?). Wait for one minute and return to your vehicle. Wait for the screens to load.

My buddy is borrowing mine this weekend to tow a 4000lb camper. Given we’ve had zero “you can’t drive” errors or whatever, I trust this car pretty well.

I’m hopeful more are like mine.

True, but we've also deduced that sometimes an update will fix existing bugs/issues and can also introduce new ones.

Unless the update is critical to fix an issue that negatively affects my use of the car, I'm fine waiting until a time that will minimize the potential negative affect of a new bug.

Example: Update 3.3.1 was released a few days before my first out-of-town weekend trip. I chose to wait until I returned home before installing the update. The update failed for me, but fortunately it did not negatively affect my use. However, if it had, I would have been kicking myself for not waiting.

Personal choice.

Agreed. I find it surprising that Electric123 was not informed of how to do a reset when he picked up the car. That piece of knowledge should be required information given to all new owners at delivery since at this early stage of software development you will probably need to use it regularly.

My fob has been perfect since the 3.3.1 update and fob update but for needing a new battery. It works with proximity, to start car, etc.

There’s no need to mess with settings unless someone’s fob is fully updated and not working still.

Yes, I get “key not detected” still, but it’s an annoyance, and not legit (except once a day or two ago that lasted <5 seconds).

Point is, I actually think fobs are in really good shape now across the “fleet”, we just hear about all the issues here.

This is good news. So now it’s just the screens blacking out problem they need to address, but it does sound like the steering wheel reset cures it at least temporarily, I think? Except for @Thierry needing a tow.

Yup. Three months from now, well after every fob has been updated, I suspect this will be old news.

My screens haven’t blacked out at all since 3.3.2. I suspect this is fixed, at least for me.

It was happening regularly on 3.3.1, and only existed between that version and 3.3.2.

Also, when it happened, you didn’t need to reboot. It would just take 30-60 seconds to come up. Rebooting just made you feel useful instead of impatient.

This is amazing to hear! I hadn’t had an opportunity to experience the blacked-out screens bug since it appeared, and was apparently squashed during the span of time my Gravity has been sitting at the service center (three weeks and counting) for a variety of issues, including replacing the rear drive unit.

On a positive note, per the Lucid app, although my car is still “in service”, apparently the service technicians have updated the software to the latest version, so hopefully this is a bug I never get to experience.

Fingers crossed, I get my car back tomorrow and this service visit doesn’t stretch into a fourth week.

The struggle for a healthy forum: This forum (perhaps most car forums) is like a laboratory for those who decide to do some level of research prior to buying and continue to contribute after buying; adding to the field data. Unavoidably and not necessarily a bad thing, for some this forum is like a hospital or doctor's office. A place to come for help/become well. Once healthy, they're at the beach.

The challenge is to keep the lab running and once healthy/healthier, hang around the hospital/doctor's office and help others AND enjoy the beach.
When someone tells you they are not experiencing your health issue, take it as hope and encouragement, not them being a fanboi.

Got the black right side cockpit screen and pilot panel for first time today.
Never before 3.3.2.

I have confidence in Dr. Lucid.
I have to or I should have never bought the car.

I’ve had no black screens Ion 3.3.2.

However, one time on 3.3.1 I do have to rest to get the screens on. I waited over eight minutes and then finally reset them and they were fine. Only happened once.

Again, I think 3.3.2 fixed this entirely. Car has had no issues since the update.

Aw boo - I was hoping it was fixed with 3.3.2 since I haven’t seen it since. Let us know if it comes back again?
