Software Update 2.5.4

Is your ambient lighting issue regarding the overhead lighting between the seats? I think that was the point of 2.5.4. Or do you have a different issue?
Yes, my issue was with the overhead ambient lighting strip between the seats, and that generally the theme colors were not shifting correctly with what I was selecting. Spoke with Customer Care today and they are pushing the updates to my AT.
They did mention trying, even before the update comes through, switching back and forth between my profile and a guest profile to correct the issue. I tried that this evening and it seems to have worked, but I'll be more assured of a permanent fix once the updates comes through.

I'm curious to know... Has anyone with a 2023 Pure AWD received either 2.5.3 or 2.5.4? Or both? Just wanting to confirm that I should never expect to receive them, and that receipt of the next general OTA won't be adversely impacted by missing one or both. (I get that I certainly have no use for 2.5.4 since I don't have enhanced interior lighting, but other past OTAs have included many items that some people don't need.)
@Buffalo Bob, I have a 2023 Pure AWD (DD basic, SSP) and I have not received anything after 2.5.0. It seems from these forums that I get updates within 2-3 days of their release, and this has been consistent throughout my ownership of this vehicle (coming up on 9 months now). So I’m pretty confident I won’t be seeing either 2.5.3 or 2.5.4. Will let you know if that changes.

Thanks, @AirQuality! It looks like we have had enough negative reports (and detail on the problem specifics) to conclude that 2.5.0 is where we'll stand until the next OTA update.

As I have groused elsewhere, it's unfortunate that Lucid does not yet do a better job detailing who should expect to receive any given OTA Update. (Before someone points it out to me, Lucid's description of 2.5.4 did specify what specific part of the interior lighting was not working. If they had, we could have ruled out Pures. Also, 2.5.3 said nothing to imply that only more recent build dates would have that problem. Those details only became known over time to people who either read sources like the forum, or bothered someone unusually OTA-savvy at customer service.

A thought from my daytime production pipeline mind.. Lucid may want the software to lock down so that Gravity and Air are using the same OS (like our iPads and phones). Keep the programmers hot on making the OS as close to perfect as possible for all of the press cars rolling out to YouTube/Mags/TopGear/etc to avert the dialog away from ‘this is early production model software’.. they want/need the Gravity to have as many preorders as possible, and not have that family rolling out of their T’la X leases back into T’la on the hesitation that the Gravity is buggy. Just a thought, and how I would go about focusing my software team with a new roll out. That being said.. holy sh!t does Lucid need better customer support, sales/pr, and getting ahead of the issues before bad press sticks to another vehicle. Again.. all my views from the sidelines. :)

Weird, my Sapphire received 2.5.3 and 2.5.4, all working great. My GT-P is still on 2.5.0 (terrible connectivity issues).
Called CS, they said wait for 2.5.5 which should resolve my issues.
Finfers crossed.

I'm wondering if the code base is the same for both cars, or they are separate. I would guess the latter. Which makes their life harder and simpler at the same time :) Harder because there might be features that need development and maintenance in two separate places. Simpler, because Gravity code base might have avoided some of the (expected) mistakes that the team has made with Air, better architecture, no tech debt, no 500 bug stories in JIRA.

My expectation is the latter, though I don’t have confirmation.

Had a great chat w/ the Service tech in Millbrae when I called today about getting wheel caps/lugs.. and the topic of the ambient light issue w/ 2.5.3. He said that I was the first to bring it to his attention, and that the 2.5.4 does't have any specific update details other than he said that they have any major fixes coming, and it's not in the 2.5.4 update. All being said, I made an appointment for my car to get checked out since he said would like to use my car to see wtf up w/ the ambient. Now.. atop all of this, and to prove my issue to the tech, I tried the test today to re-create the issue w/ the ambient light, and it is in fact tied directly to the 'user in the car'.. in that if you select 'guest' as the user profile.. and you have the issue w/ the ambient lights not working.. you will see them work again once you select guest. get out of the car to have it turn off.. then re-approach the car so it knows it's you.. and watch as the ambient lights do not work again. sitting in the car.. switch to guest... they come on and work. switch back to me while still sitting in the car... they work. touch ANYTHING on any screen, or put the car into any drive mode.. and they turn off and don't turn back on again until do the 'guest' trick again after stopping. I don't think early iPhoneOS was this much fun!
