Scheduled Maintenance

I just had my 2-year service. I had requested a loaner because the service center is an hour from home and I didn't want to sit around for the expected 3-4 hours. Good thing, as they noticed that the Lucid logo wasn't lighting on the front, and spent 3.5 days rebuilding the front end to replace that.

FYI, if you have added a third party spare (I have the EZ Spare in my lower frunk), you can ask them to check the inflation on that, which should be done once a year.
Please clarify. I understand the rebuilding of your front end to take several days. However, were you expecting the maintenance to take 3 - 4 hours or were you expecting several days for the maintenance to be completed?

Is scheduled maintenance included for free?

Good afternoon,

I've scheduled my 24,000 mile service. Although I thought the dash on my Lucid would issue an alert that it was time for the service, it did not. Isn't the Lucid dashboard supposed to alert that maintenance is due?

Also, apparently, the 24,000 mile service requires Lucid to keep my car for 2 - 3 days due to the brake fluid replacement. When I scheduled the service, the service advisor did not mention that Lucid would keep my car overnight, let alone for up to 3 days. I called Lucid to find out how long the service would take and was advised of the lengthy maintenance time. I thought I would wait for my car and schedule other appointments in Virginia for that day since I must travel over and hour to reach the service center and believed it would be in and out within a couple of hours. If it's time for the 24,000 mile service, ask for a loaner vehicle because it's not a quick process.
I didn't get any notification of my 24K servicing, so I called to schedule it, albeit 3K miles late. They sent a mobile service tech to me (in the DFW area) who was able to complete everything in less than two hours. He had all the necessary equipment (jack stands to rotate my tires, vacuum pump to service the break fluid, etc.). Everything else was mainly proactive replacements of wipers, batteries, etc., plus checked for some Service Bulletin items. Perhaps some parts of the country require the car to be serviced at a Service Center, but my tech said his team was provided with the necessary equipment to do the service remotely.

Wow! Then I really don't understand why the 24K maintenance for my vehicle will take 2 - 3 days. I'll call the service advisor on Monday to better understand why the maintenance will take days instead of hours.

I was expecting service to take one day. It wasn't a big deal since I had a loaner GT that was identical to mine other than the color, it was just unexpected for it to take that long. My schedule can be complicated, and I was concerned about picking up my car promptly mainly because I figured they would want the loaner for someone else. But they didn't seem concerned at all, and told me to come back when it was convenient.
