I am pretty sure I am going to get a lot of heat from other members on this forum, but here is my question for the people who already have their Lucid vehicles and have spent some time living with them.
Do you have any regrets about buying the Lucid? What regrets do you have? If you love the vehicle in general, what do you wish was better?
What do you absolutely love about your vehicle?

I picked up my Dream Edition Performance on 12/31/2021 and have 4,400 miles on it. I didn't want a Tesla but did want an EV. If I had it to do over again, I might not have taken the DE and waited for the next Lucid high-end car, like a tri-motor? I think that sometime next year they will have fixed the software and ironed out their manufacturing issues and the cars will be better.

I do like the interior, range and how fast it is but the software makes it aggravating as a daily driver, for me. Also, I have not had a lot of fit and finish issues.

Thanks for that. I have a GT on order, possible delivery here in 4-8 weeks, but I am starting to have second thoughts. Now thinking if I should get another high-end EV instead

A lot depends on what features you are looking for. I really like the BWM iX and i4. My wife has a Mercedes AMG EQS. It is VERY different from the Lucid but a good car.

If you want STUPID fast and long range, then you have to go with Lucid or Tesla, for now.

Same, one too many posts about software glitches. I’m ok trailblazing but I’m leaving Porsche because of the software and worry it may drive me mad in the Lucid. I may get a Plaid Model S and revisit Lucid in 12 months or so. I would have been one of the first GT-P owners in Canada.

The encouraging thing is that most of the complaints I've heard (though there have been quite a few), have all been software related. Outside of the cup holders, I don't think I've heard too many complaints about the stuff that can't be fixed over time via OTA.

I have a GT and maybe about 1000 miles on it. First EV owned. Honestly, zero regrets with my purchase (so far!). I didn’t really enter with any expectations other than to have a ‘car’ i.e. four-wheeled vehicle that can take me safely and comfortably from point A to B with points A and B not being on opposite ends of the earth. When I try to galaxy brain this thing (usually after hours spent avidly reading every word on this forum lol - so educational!) I sometimes can understand how I might be disappointed with this that or the other in an alternate dimension where I wasn’t me. But the minute I look at the car again, or get into it, or start driving it, it’s still just pure pleasure and I always am grateful and consider myself lucky.

Eventually, those feelings will surely fade as newer and better tech emerges, but I hope they are simply replaced with a feeling of quiet and steady satisfaction. Kind of like, yup, car is great, nothing much more to talk about, she was the very best once upon a time and I love her still.

My regret was I hesitated and didn’t make to DE list when they expanded 260 to 520. So maybe if @MoniputerLM gives up his DE one day, I may have a chance not forking out 50k more like those price tag on EBay from him. 😂

The manual said that there were lights in the cup holders!! I want my lights!! Just kidding sort of. My other cars have lights in the cup holders. :)
Wireless charging doesn't work with my phone in the case. :(

Interesting....

I had an order for EQS 580, but was monkeyed around and I told them to shove it. There are a bunch of 450+ but I don't want that. I would love to have the AMG version though.
I really like the look of the 2022 Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo.

So.... We drove the EQS 450+, too slow, Then the 580, better but still slower than my DE and didn't like how it handled. We lucked into an AMG EQS at MSRP and bought it sight unseen. It is much better than the EQS 580 and a very good car albeit different than the Lucid.

If you want to come to Houston, you can drive the AMG EQS and the DE performance. 👍

I have no regret, the excitement, cutting edge powertrain, aesthetic of this car in and out overshadow the basic functional software I have faith it will improve. I do agree cupholders can use dim light, wireless charging slot can be bigger and other little stuffs are not deal breaker for me. The range and charging speed are very important for me, less time at charging station is more quality time to enjoy the road. And I just don’t like to go to gas stations or charge stations given current economic downturn environment.

I have my deposit down for a Pure but on the fence w/ the i4 (not sure which version yet - eDrive40 or M50). They're not really comparable but just an idea that's being toyed with.

The BMWs drive really well and are fast, for a normal car. Also, I don't like a minimalist cabin and the BWM's feel more natural to me. But, they are not as fast as the Lucids and have less range.

For me, the options were Plaid, Taycan, or the Lucid. Only two things would have made me not pick the Lucid: (1) plaid having a regular steering wheel; (2) Taycan having 150 miles more range. Lucid absolutely feels premium and ride/performance is nuts. Software will improve but is definitely a black eye.

IMHO,
In term of hardware (battery, powertrain & handling)
Lucid > Tesla + 3~4 years

In term of software (UI, UX & FSD)
Tesla > Lucid + 3~5 years

Overall
Tesla > 4~8 years of ALL Legacy ICE companies

Hardware improvement needs to bring product back to manufacturer; software doesn’t, unless you are using legacy ICE products.

Hardware is exhilarating ride and passengers comfort. Software is bells and whistles of more apps for UI.
