Rear parking protection - suggested improvement

So rear parking protection is a great new-ish feature, BUT it is jarring especially to passengers.

Wouldn’t it be great if the car could anticipate the stop and gradually reduce speed from say 25 to 15 inches from object rather than emergency stop at 18 to 15 inches.

@mcr16 please provide suggestions to engineering team! Thanks

I just want the ability to turn off the rear collision detection (which panic stops every time I try to back out of the garage) while leaving the forward protection on.

I get that nanny warning 100% of the time backing into my carport.
The way to keep it from applying the brakes is to stay below its threshold speed, it lets you keep going continuously.
