Question about payment

I'm suprised anyone would pay early. But each to their own! We all just want to get our car!

I was pretty comfortable with, generally, the law, lol.

If I wired and didn’t accept delivery, the law states I had to be refunded (in CA).

I would not expect Lucid to “steal” my cash for a car I didn’t take delivery of. Until you sign the day-of paperwork and take delivery, the deal is not closed.

I also just went ahead and ACH'd the money before delivery 14 months ago. I was uncomfortable with the idea but figured the risk was low. Of course, it worked out fine.

I'm unsure how you control the money without a cashier's check. Are people really wiring the money to Lucid before they get the car? If so, what happens if you do not accept the car? Maybe I'm paranoid, but I'm not used to paying for something until I take ownership, but then I usually finance to start. Please let me know the norm here!

I wired, then got the car a couple weeks later. No issues at all .

Usually you have to wire funds to your brokerage account to get your LCID.
