Trying to decide between Purluxe (Yosemite) and leather (Ojai) for a potential Aurora Green Gravity purchase.
Now that both Purluxe and Leather have been shipping for a couple years in the Air, I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience that made them glad they had the one they chose, or wish they'd bought the other?

Based on the Air as well as pictures of the Gravity, I really liked Yosemite! The feature of it that stood out to me is the plentiful fabric everywhere (such as the doors), which really lends the interior a Scandinavian vibe that I liked. Purluxe also felt pretty good on the Air, although not up to the leather (which is the best leather seat I’ve ever felt).

In the OOS review, they said there were 3 tiers of interior? And that there was a "new" vegan non-animal based synthetic leather...were they just misinformed? Or what exactly were they talking about?

Looks like the difference between Purluxe and Purluxe premium is Textile vs Microsuede on headliner, pillar trim, sun visors.

I was in a Studio yesterday and checked out the samples of the interior choices - all are nice but I thought Ojai was awesome.

Another difference is the decor trim.

Purluxe is in Lucid Black and Black Ash décor.
PurLuxe Premium is in Lucid Black with Walnut décor.

I like the walnut over the black ash.
The pics below show the dash area, but the decor difference is also shown on the doors and center console.

microsuede roof liner worth $2900? Hmmm 🤔
Well it does include the sun visors. :D

Seriously, I continue to wonder if the microsuede material and walnut trim is worth $2,900.
My mindset has been, for $100k what's another $3k?
Is $3k going to lower my monthly payment that much? Probably not and I prefer the walnut decor over the black ash decor.
Sold. :D

The synthetic leather in my Tesla has always been really soft and pliable. When I touched the samples in a Lucid studio the purluxe felt more pliant as I might expect and the leather sample felt a little less so. The Air models I saw in the studio had been there a while and I saw some minor creasing. The synthetic seats in my Tesla have had no creasing in 70k+ miles.

Are these same materials available in the Airs? I would like to sit in a complete cockpit to compare how they feel.

I've had the same Yosemite vs Ojai dilemma as well. While I like the look of the Yosemite slightly better, I have a few concerns:

1) The armrests on the doors appear to be fabric in front and rear in Yosemite based on pictures (despite what the configurator states). I'm concerned that a wooly light fabric in that location could get dirty over time and be difficult to clean (whereas the leather/purluxe should be easier to clean) and may not wear well. The pictures of Ojai and Tahoe seem to have leather on the door armrests.

2) Is purluxe as durable as leather?

Hi @DeaneG — I have a 2023 Pure AWD with the PurLuxe and the Alcantara headliner but with the black ash trim (so somewhere between base and Premium). I’ve found the PurLuxe to be exceptionally comfortable yet durable: none of the rips that others have mentioned, even with regularly shuttling kids in the back seat to soccer practice.

On the occasions that I’ve had AGT loaners with real leather, I’ve actually found those seats to be harder and overall less comfortable than the PurLuxe in my Pure AWD.

If I were in the market for a Gravity (which I’m not at the moment), I’d take a pretty good look at the PurLuxe over the real leather.
