Not sure if it’s been posted before but just wanted to share a solution for the poorly designed phone holder. I haven’t been able to use the wireless charger at all since my phone is in a thick otter box.

After removing the pad on the bottom of the center console enclosure, the plastic piece that holds the phone is secured with four screws. Removing these were a bit tedious as it is in a tight space and since I probably didn’t have the right tools. But after doing so, the phone fits in the slot and charges perfectly!

In my opinion, this is a more elegant solution over having to buy a cup holder mounted phone holder which takes up a cup holder and can be in the way of the lower screen. Especially with the new Apple CarPlay update, this has worked really well for me.

I did exactly that but mounted a magnetic puck using command strips to the passenger side. My iPhone Pro Max and case still wasn’t working with the built in charger. And now, with CP, I can verify in the CP UI that the phone is charging vs having to check the phone itself

If you don't want your phone flying backwards into the console during "spirited" driving, you can also remove the rubber bumps and re-install the hard plastic retainer part by itself ...

Gotta love those made up “Chinglish” names.

After going through 5 different phone holder models, I finally found something that works and it's unobtrusive. Don't get stuck on the cradle itself - it can be anything, as usually the arm/mount and cradle can be mixed and matched any way you want it. I had my old cradle which I loved but I had a hard time finding a mount that can fit into the slim opening to grab the vents. This mount has a metal hook that extends more than other models out there. That makes the whole difference, because it can intrude far enough into the vent to hook on.

Here is the Amazon link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CHB7J9MD?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Be aware that when you click on this link:
  1. I will instantly get access to your computer, fridge and Lucid car. There is a virus that will hack everything you have connected to the internet and send your data to Russia, China and North Korea (in this exact order).
  2. You yourself will be infected and I will able to create duplicates of you, and they will all obey me.
  3. I will get a commission of $57,120 from Amazon.
You were warned!

Wow. That's pretty frightening. Sounds like a heavy price to pay- to be cloned many times over ... would .... Hum... Certainly make the world a better and more peaceful place.... For LUCID owners ....but Maybe your bounty fee from Amazon is way under-priced.
Amen.

I have an MPOW cradle in my Elantra. It does work really well.
