King-of-Prussia Service Center !

Yesterday I spoke to Andy of Lucid Mobile Service. He told me the former
Toys-Are-US store at the King-of-Prussia mall already has a LUCID sign on it.
We might expect it to open in a year or so.

This just keeps getting better and better.

Go Phillies, Union, Eagles, etc., (whew ... this city is party heaven )

Oh, Thank God!! I hate to drive to Plainview, NY Service Center because of traffic. This would be my choice. Ideally, I would also love to have one in CNJ..

Just got back from Plymouth Meeting, PA. At the mall right off the interchange with PA turnpike + Blue Route (476) between Boscovs and Bennyhanna (near the Boscov loading dock right up against the Turnpike). Got there with ~27%. Opened Lucid app, plugged in, hit continue, started charging. Got 100 miles in less than 1/4 hour so went for walk around the mall, which is a great place to walk because nobody goes there. It's mostly a place to let little kids run around (carosel, lego land, play areas, fast food, places for parents to sit and play with phone while kids jump on bungee cords). There are several restaurants in the parking lots and a nice Whole Foods. Don't tell anyone but this is going to be my hang-out going forward.

I was there about 40 minutes total and picked-up about 300 miles. I'm a happy camper.

Free charge. Life is good.

Not the biggest fan of the location, but having a service center close by is going to be great. I hope they open up a small showroom at KOP too to build brand awareness.

Not the biggest fan of the location,
I know what you mean. I had trouble remembering where Toys R Us used to be--not easy to find and I've been going to that mall since the 1970s and have spent hundreds of hours there. The mall complex has grown so much just being on the parking lot loops doesn't help, because the building is hidden from view. The facility is enormous ... (room to put an indoor test drive circuit). The photos I posted above show only the retail space of the former TRU... there is an equally sized warehouse space behind it, all on it's own lot, which is also enormous. Located right off the turnpike exit, right on 202, right at the beginning of 422 and the Schuylkill expressway....brilliant location. Gabe's going to have to expand his business: he's right off 422 in Pottstown...just 20 minutes away.

The local mobile service guy lives nearby and he is outstanding. Hope you never have to meet him but it's a wonderful experience.

Not a small showroom = I'm going to wager it will be the largest Lucid showroom in the world. I think what you mean is they should open a boutique in the main mall to attract foot traffic. Tesla did this. I'm going there in a few hours and will report back. -- cosmo

They've stripped the inside. Nothing but a small table with a blueprint in there now. We're about a year away ... it's going to be awesome. I drove all around...put another 50 miles on. Did I mention I love this car ?

Hey folks check out the EA chargers at the Plymouth Meeting mall. They are way in the back between Boscov's loading dock and Bennihanna. They are 150Kv and ~50Kv. One is always out of service. They are poorly placed and the cables are short. I could not reach the rear cables front back or angled. Have worked flawlessly every time. The mall is failing but there is a nice Whole Foods across the parking lot. See yins there soon.

Hah, you said “yins”

Anyone going to the Philly Auto Show ? I'll be there Sunday AM maybe or one of the weekdays...calling old friends now.
I hear there is no truth to the rumor that Lucid has set-up a demonstration of how to reset a car, complete with a live intersection and rain.

visited the Lucid Sales / Service Center in King of Prussia this morning. All utility permits posted on front door, but I'm not seeing any change from my last visit other than some digging in one area probably for utilities. If you are having trouble finding it it's behind the Costco right up against the Turnpike. You can't see it from Mall Blvd. and there are no signs other than on the building. Look for the Toys R Us sign.

I just had a service. They trailered my car to Mechanicsville VA to a specialist ( https://dornsbodyandpaint.com/ ). Took a week but car is 100%. Tracked the car's progress down and back using the mobile app. So freaky. Be cool to have a place to hang out with other Lucid owners once the shop opens in a year or so. See you guys there!

Coming in off the Turnpike from Harrisburg, the new studio/service center won't actually be at the Mall but behind it basically? Is it near Wegmans?

What did they do for you curiously?

Ha, the "Legitimate Lucid Owners Social Club"...

Let's see ... I've been going to this mall since 1971 but I can not explain how to get there from the King of Prussia toll booths. There aere an impossible number of choices and they are all the wrong one. Thing is you could throw a key fob and hit the building from the place where you miss the ramp to get to it...it's literally the closest thing to the turnpike.

If you can get to Gulf Road that will get you to Mall Blvd....then you just drive around the mall until you see J. Alexander's Restaurant and the driveway is along the side and goes behind. Else just google directions to the Costco and drive behind it. Once you are on Rt. 202 it will all make sense. No it won't....it's a terrible place.

Crown Plaza King of Prussia, PA mall

on the map i'm looking at, ^ above the building is called " SPIRIT HALLOWEEN and Covid-19 Vaccination Site" (you will have to zoom in ... look for mall blvd and HYATT and COSTCO.
It's between the HYATT and COSTCO pinned up against the turnpike. The driveway is off of Mall boulevard right next to J. Alexander's Restaurant. Nothing much has happened the last few months. I was told it's a year away.

My car's Virginia vacation:

I had been having 12v system faults and drive system faults and break system faults all kinds of fun and scary warnings and lights with the car dead it the middle of the road ...but the car got me home after resets, and then seemed OK so I kept driving and then Andy (our local Mobile Care expert) said, "Cut it out." So I let them trailer it to the Lucid experts at Dorn's in (not making this up) Mechanicsville, VA.
They diagnosed a faulty 12v system control module and replaced it and it was back home in a couple of days.

Both my service incidents were diagnosed by connecting a laptop, and fixed by replacing faulty control modules. I have never had a "software issue" or a mechanical issue (build 9/22). Everyone I have encountered has been wonderful. This is a nice group of folks.

So don't waste you trip now I will keep us updated. There is a Tesla showroom in the mall but it's crappy and they did not even have a car to look at last time I walked by. Also, new to me, there is a whole row of stores where you can buy $40,000 shoes and purses. Gobsmacked. I knew it when it was a limestone quarry.
