Sound System Enhancements​

• We have refined the audio system, improving tone controls to allow further bass reduction. Additionally, we have enhanced the center channel tuning during Dolby Atmos playback, improving vocal reproduction.
• The sound of the turn signals inside the car are now synchronized with the direction of the turn signal, so the left turn signal sound will come from the left side of the car, and the right signal sound from the right side.

Actually in terms of software, small changes often is much safer than large groundbreaking "big bang" changes. Good to see the tweaks continue!

I have no idea about this. We haven't heard much about soft-close door bugs lately. You may need new hardware.

My soft close doors haven't worked properly since 2.5.0. When I first get in the car after being away the door will not soft close and has to be closed forcefully. After they are closed forcefully the soft close starts working. I was told by service when they were at my house this week that its a software bug.

For people with the audio enhancements, would you gauge it as the old clarity with enhanced bass? Is it something else entirely like a true mix of old and new? Best of both worlds?

Surely this one will patch the soft-close doors that have been broken since 2.3.10, right guys?

Is this consistently happening to you? I remember this occurring to me a long while back and I believe a hard restart fixed it. Haven't experienced the issue since. Also, this may suck but maybe a factory reset could help?

This is a bug fix / minor enhancements update. I'm very happy to have it. Cameras now work great and audio quality is beautiful, especially in Atmos. I went for a drive just to listen to some music today.

I use SiriusXM on CarPlay a good bit and haven't experienced muddled sound. Does it have it on every channel? All the time?

I hope it fixes the sound volume. The range is about three clicks - mute, too soft, too loud, and then eardrum breaking. One could probably hear the car sound system in the next state if the volume was all the way up.

The Bridge was muddled on today’s drive. The Blend was better. The USB music is crystal clear.

Massive in what way? Perhaps they've tweaked the bass a bit (in addition to allowing us to reduce it more from the now-substantial levels)?

Atmos is completely retuned. Bass no longer sounds “poppy” for lack of a better term. Center channel isn’t so insanely forward.

Just a lot better. I’m excited for continuing improvements.

Yeah, that’s a good way of putting it. I think it’s even better than the original tbh; feels more crisp. But hard to tell since I don’t have it side by side.
