My VIN assignment notification came at about the time my DA mentioned that it would, a month ago. So I don't think its a reassignment.
 
Just got the VIN email/call from my DA. Told specifically it was new production.

Confirmed - 6/23
White AGT, Tahoe, 19"
VIN - 10/7

Looks like a batch of whites will be entering production very soon.

My confirmation date was March 28, but I changed my config a couple times later, last on May 31. I think that pushed me back in line.
 
I pick up my car today. Everything looked good except on both sides the silver piece that says grand touring seem come away from the car a little bit and one of them has an slight indentation (see photo).

The one issue I'm having is the radio seems not to tune in stations very well. I works every once in a while and then is all staticky

Yesterday I saw a delivery truck with 5 Black GTs heading west on I-10 outside Palm Springs. Might be headed for Los Angeles or Costa Mesa.
 
Just went to pick up the new car at Millbrae after returning from a trip. All went well, it was a Saturday so not too busy but lots of cars to be picked up.
My first impression, as I've not seen silver before, it was not what I had envisioned. It is not the everyday silver that one sees on the road quite often but a much more sophisticated
deep luminescent silver. Much nicer than in my mind's eye. Just had it transported to the detailer. Can't wait to drive it.

Congratulations and enjoy it in the best of health. I was wondering how close the sliver body color would be to the roof, and your picture does a nice job of illustrating the difference between the 2 areas.

I too was wondering about the contrast, thought it might look like they mismatch the paint, but it is quite obvious in the color differences. I like it very much.

Ed from Oakbrook Center IL called out of the blue on Thursday (10.6.22). There is a Silver Cosmos (Santa Cruz interior) available for purchase. Planning to inspect and test drive the Grand Touring on Thursday (10.13.22), before agreeing to buy. They want a wire transfer of the car payment before the test drive and inspection, but I was assured that a complete refund (minus $1000 deposit) is possible if I decided not to complete the deal. Inspection and test drive will hopefully confirm that the original buyer pulled out for other reasons than the car was a lemon. Please respond whether this sounds fishy and thanks to the experts for the providing a thorough check list.

I was also offered earlier delivery of a car that was the result of cancellation. Unfortunately, the car offered was of a different spec that I ordered and would rather wait. It is not a unique situation you are in and if the car matches your config, I would say go for it! Of course go in with your eyes wide open and if something doesn't sit well with you, just sit tight and wait for your delivery. Good luck!
