Haha I guess if you need a charger enough to ask Alexa you’re gonna want the closest one even if it’s behind you? Sounds like a navigation system bug to me. What about if you ask Alexa to show you the nearest EA chargers and you pick one from a list?

Can you ask alexa to find the nearest EA charger on the route?

i don't have a car so can't verify this but I read yesterday on this forum that Alexa doesn't take the direction of travel into account so they could potentially take you to an EA charger that's behind you. someone can correct me if i'm wrong.

True … (I suspect)
but this is once I arrived here in Scottsdale, so worked out fine since I have a base of operations

you can also ask Alexa to navigate to a specific charger if you know the address even vaguely. so I was able to say navigate to Electrify America at Lost hills (on i5)
