Lucid Air Pure
I have been using Electrify America for my 2024 Air Pure since the beginning of December when we drove down to FL from NY for which there was never a charge. Until yesterday, also used it in FL without a charge. Yesterday, got the "red light" authorization failed. After multiple attempts at hooking up, I gave up and paid via credit card. Is there some solution to this, or do I just have to continue paying? I never used the app to charge, just plugged in and the charger recognized and authorized the charging, until yesterday.

I've had this happen several times at EA chargers. I usually get it resolved by using the Lucid App and charging from there or by having EA reset the charger remotely. You should contact EA and make sure they reimburse you for the charge.

Thanks for the tips. I will try both and post here when I have any results.

When the authorization fails, I am stuck because the Lucid app says the vehicle is offline and I don’t see the Electrify America button in the app at all! I have asked the Lucid technician when I had maintenance work done and only thing he said was that there will be software update coming.

I find killing the app and restarting it will usually cause the app to show the car back online. This will not work if the car is truly out of cell range and therefore does not have connectivity.

I was going to try the tips provided, but yesterday I plugged in the car and everything was back to normal and charging was authorized and I wasn't charged. Fingers crossed that will remain the situation, but if not I will try the tips.
