Next update?

Hopefully something big like 3.0 is cooking. Also wouldn't be surprised if it was just December code freezes resulting in the long interval between updates.

Sentry mode please.
It would be welcome for most owners according to the surveys. However, when it does become available, RIP the efficiency threads here.

“I have my car set to constantly monitor 24/7, record video, takes pictures and transmit to Lucid servers all day. I’m seeing a significant reduction in battery %??? Anyone else seeing this??? Lucid really needs to fix this” 😑 😆

Hey, Hey...
New CarPlay...
Any day! :)
Tell me...... who has CarPlay 2.0 running on their cars? No one, lol! Apple has gone radio silent on that. I think the CarPlay 2.0 presented is going be very different to the CarPlay 2.0 people will receive. BMW, Mercedes etc, have said outright that they're not giving Apple the keys to the kingdom. They'll support it but not in a way that Apple presented.

My car (in Netherlands) is still on 2.2.10. Never got any update after I bought it half year ago.

Sentry mode barely uses any energy on my Tesla, and software updates have made it even more efficient. Also, you don’t have to use it just because it is available if you are worried about it.
I’m just suggesting that any minor alteration in the car’s battery performance becomes a significant point of contention when scrutinized through the lens of this forum.

I was merely joking that there will undoubtedly be individuals complaining about the battery percentage change if any version of a sentry mode is released. Your perception of “barely uses any energy” compared to others can vary significantly.

As we saw with the iOS 2.0 update. lol

Ha! Me and my Pixel 7 were just being ironical. :)

It's worth contacting your closest service center to double check, but I think that, for whatever reason, Europe has not received any updates since that one. My only guess is EU regulations making it take longer, but I know nothing.

Don’t get your hopes up. It’s more likely the next update will be 2.6…updates to telecommunication modules
I hope its not 😃
Lucid should not drag this things any further i opine.

It is interesting that CEO Peter Rawlinson made such a big deal about software in September before the 2.5 launch. He admits they are behind and that he is personally taking over the division, but not much has happened or been announced since then. Here is some of the
transcript:

"i’m disappointed in ourselves, we can do better. We got the best car in the world, we're not known for our user interface, and it should be better. You know there's a mea culpa here. I've made sweeping changes to our software organization. I've installed new management. People that I've worked with for many years. I’ve personally taken charge of this and we've got a really aggressive schedule of a road map of tons of things that we're going to implement through the over the air to get truly world-class user in infotainment and user interface - including additional features - and so talk is cheap I don't want to just tell you what we're going to do because there was a reason we broadcast a major update just over the weekend I hope you like this, and I'm personally driving this this this is going to change the perception of lucid we truly are a tech company - but our user interface is not as good as it should be and it's going to be world-class. So that is our Achilles heel right now - and you don't see the true technology under the iceberg that tip of the iceberg we're going to just completely transform over the next 3 months…"

Credit where credit is due the fact he admitted it on an investor call I respect. I’ve also spoken to Peter in person about it and he’s very upfront that the software isn’t where it needs to be. Again, I respect that type of response more than an Exec hiding under a rock and pretending everything is perfect.

The changes he talks about aren’t things that we’d expect to see improvements on in 5 mins. It could be a good 6 to 8 months, even longer if things were really bad. That being said, Lucid does need to move quickly on this so I’m hoping 2025 is the year we start to get a lot more momentum going on the OTA updates. Not just seeing new features, possible changes to layouts etc but being more aggressive on bug fixes too.

Every time I see a Rivian update show up online I just think “c’mon Lucid! You can be better at this”

Lucid seems to have a lot more "love" in what they're doing, at least for now (this generation). You don't see that too often, especially after the primary bunch head-off and retire and the new recruits come in and it's a big money-game. It has to be a money game, sure, but there's a lot more heart in what's going on with Lucid than any other automotive company I've seen in a long time; not since AMC early-on. Lucid will have to eventually shift-gears to a small, half-priced commuter to survive, though, eventually. I suspect it's in the works.

You should reach out to customer care for resolution. You should not show yourself to be more than 2 versions behind
