1500 HP Tri-Motors Grand Touring Extreme Performance trim GTEP with 21” winter tires
Tri-Motor Air???
new addition to the Lucid Air lineup."The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering (Friday, August 19) – In addition to a substantial presence at The Quail, Lucid will host a press conference in its display on the central lawn at 10:05 am PDT for a global debut of a new vehicle variant that could only come from Lucid. Following the reveal, key leadership will be on hand to showcase this stunning new addition to the Lucid Air lineup."
It says Lucid Air lineup not Lucid Motors..new addition to the Lucid Air lineup.
Ok, Gravity SUV unmasked and starts taking online orders.
It makes sense as Gravity is the new line up.
It says Lucid Air lineup not Lucid Motors..
If it is 1.7 Tri-Motors Air, it may be lame….It says Lucid Air lineup not Lucid Motors..
Deep down I wish it’s a 3 rows SUV.
Quad Motor.
That’s right, four motors; one for each wheel.
Why? Because they can, and they have to.
Lucid power plant is small enough to fit four. And they’ll need a four motor setup for the gravity SUV to be competitive.
Calling it now. Four motor: two thousand horsepower.
Place your bets.
Midnight blue with stealth...sexyIt’s a performance focused event. It’s a variant of the Air. Tri-motor is the safe bet.
Now for real speculation:
It’ll cost about 200k.
It’ll only be offered in Stealth.
It’ll start shipping next year.
To whom are the bragging rights important? If Lucid could claim the bragging rights to the fastest sedan time around Nurburgring to best the Taycan's recent run, that would be important to me.Also, they will likely only sell a handful of these. The only reason for it to exist is to dethrone the Plaid as the fastest EV sedan. Those bragging rights are important.
The tri-motor is going to need some wider wheel/tire choices to make it to the "pinnacle" of EV performance.
