This is interesting for people who cannot add a 240v plug without upgrading their electrical panel.

these panel upgrades are only for people who dont have ANY 240v outlets right? if my house has washer/dryer that's running off the 240V outlet, my panels won't require upgrading?

sorry, not sure how these electrical panel upgrades work for these upgrades (solar, powerwall, etc).

Based on the description...this could work for me. I have a 225 amp system but my electrician was only able to free up a 20 amp dedicated line for my charger and I didn't want to have to trench my lawn to bring in another 200 amp line. That has been fine for my plug in (BMW 530e) but I would prefer faster charging for my Lucid (when I get it). The description seems to indicate that the system will monitor total usage to make sure that it doesn't exceed the capabilities of the service. I think that means that it will see if my pool heat pump, dryer, dishwasher, and AC (for example) are all going and will reduce or delay charging if there is not enough capacity. That would work great for me.

Great find. Thanks!

Though a kludge, this would be a great place to throw in a transfer switch as well to allow EV V2H operation.

Panel upgrades are only for people who need a new circuit and do not have enough space left in the panel. If you already have a spare 240v outlet, you are good. If you are using that outlet, there are ways to share it with the EVSE

Don’t run the electric clothes dryer while you are charging the Air…….😊
