New IOS Mobile App 2.0

Weird…I am not seeing 2.0.1 in the App Store…
Not sure why not? it’s there

I see it too and updated. 18.2. Can you exit the app and go back to the AppStore?

Rebooted my phone, crashes stopped. Today battery usage is down from 8-5% for the last 24 hours.

This issue is definitely the root cause of some major battery drain spikes.
Just checked mine, and although I haven’t had the app crashes, the Lucid app is leading the app ‘drain parade’ at 17% background use with 22 hours of background activity. Nothing else is close, and I only checked the app once today. 😳

Edit: Just updated to 2.0.1 and I’ll see if that reduces drain.

20 hours and 9% which is pretty consistent. How old is your phone? What’s the actual health of the battery on it?

It’s actually a new iPhone 16 Pro. I haven’t checked battery health, but given it’s a new phone it should be fine.

After the drive to LA, on the way home to SF, I kept getting the no key detected, even though I had the fob and the iPhone with me. As i reported earlier with a huge memory leak, I noticed that my phone in my pocket was overheating to a point that it was too hot to touch. Then at about midpoint in the drive after charging the car, the car decided to get very confused and shut down the AC causing the windows (windshield!!) to 100% fog up when it rained while I was going 70 miles an hour on 101. I had to roll the window down, stick my head out in pouring rain, and look to see where I was going so I could pull over safely and contact my lucid service guy. I had my wife, daughter and her best friend in the car to witness the whole thing as my wife started screaming to “pull over and get me out of this car”. I restarted the car a few times, but then noticed that I could not get the app on the phone to work. Assumed that the FOB was prioritizing at this point and not the app. Eventually, when I got home 300 miles later, I went to go charge at my local Safeway EA and this is when everything went south. I left the fob Along with all of our luggage in the garage after I got home before heading out to charge. The entire drive to the Safeway, the car was alerting me that there was no key present. I looked at the phone and the app was frozen on the launch screen and the phone was again hot to the touch. when I got to the charging station, I could not get the app to launch again after it continued to only crash. Then made the mistake of deleting the app to reinstall it after restarting my phone several times thinking that would fix it. I was completely locked out of my car. stupid mistake. Called Lucid again thanks to the valet card, able to get back in the car and get it on the charger. And then had to remove all Bluetooth references of Lucid on my phone. Unpaired my phone with the car in every instance. Restarted my phone twice, reinstalled the Lucid app, re-paired the mobile key and everything seems to work fine now. But holy shit does Apple need to get there issues resolved with Bluetooth. None of this happened until the latest update and the new version of the Lucid app. Car is going to Lucid for service on Monday to find out what went wrong with my dream drive on the way down, and why the AC decided to fog the interior of the car during a heavy rain. What the hell?

Very very odd; the phone app crashing is one thing. Everything else seems unrelated? And odd? I have no idea.

Had you downloaded 2.0.1 yet? I haven't seen a crash since I updated.

Yes, very odd. Yes I did update when I deleted and reinstalled the app which is why it started working fine at the end of it all. It feels a lot like a myriad of small issues causing catastrophic issues with the software the car is running. Lucid tech and I both feel that there might be a few hardware failures hidden that are causing the software to not operate correctly. Thankfully, they can get me in first thing Monday morning. On the way home after getting it all resolved I put the car in swift mode and drove it like I stole it back to the house and was quickly reminded of why I bought this car. The tech is cool, but the way she drives is unlike anything I’ve ever driven in my life and I love it.❤️

The tolerance for any software bug is appalling in car meets software. just be patient, car drives. You got a mobile key, key fob, card key. Okay, I’ve said it. Flame me.

I am not sure why since the new app has been updated, my car is offline and the app does not wake it up

I have to do profile log out and in then it works

I updated to 2.0.1 and still having the same issue

I get this message all the time, and I never force quit the app.

I do carry the fob and my mobile key is active, though. My theory has been there is some conflict over the handshake with the phone's mobile key and the fob. Both want to authorize, and neither is getting through.

I never get asked to put in my PIN, though. So it resolves itself somehow.
This has been known to be a problem for a long time. Search this forum and the other one. Highly recommend you use on or the other method only. If you want to keep a backup in case mobile key doesn’t work, keep the valet card in your wallet. That’s what I do. In the early days mobile key was hit or miss but I haven’t used the valet card in over a year now.

Reupdated to 2.0.1 and there still aren't the icons for the seat/steering heater in the app. I was sooooooo hopeful when those showed up in the app store graphics. Even got my wife's hopes up for it. Now she's REALLY mad at Lucid. They'd be better off under promising and over delivering than vice-versa. 🤬

It’s pretty clear this isn’t coming until the car gets and OTA update, not the phone….
