New IOS Mobile App 2.0

Pure speculation, but do people think this total rewrite means the next Air software OTC update will be 3.0?

I would doubt the App rewrite and any form of “3.0” in the vehicle have a 1:1 relationship in any way.

Although given the Gravity is now being delivered to employees, I’m sure something is on next year’s roadmap.

Compared to the former version I think this is the worst upgrade possible. Clear and friendly GUI is ruined. If you don't want to Connect your Mobile Key it will remain as a question at the homescreen!? Graphics (if displayed) were much better in the older version. Seems like this upgrade is done without GUI designers involved.

Loving the new screen art on the ‘push notifications’ screen.

Ps.. I’m back online.

You can swipe and remove that mobile key question.

Epic battery usage. Noticed since the update that my phone battery is draining at an alarming speed. I always keep the app open, so it’s this update that has a crazy memory leak.

If you go to your battery settings… check out the usage of the last 10 days. Note since Friday what the top memory burner is. :) attached is my 10day view.

I think we can all nit-pick the app, but I think it's a great upgrade. It's a small thing for me, but I'd like to see the charging arc of my charge sessions in the history but whatever.

The thing I cna't stop thinking about now with this, and the Gravity starting deliveries is when the next UI/OTA update will get pushed 👀 any takers for January? February? Has to be before Q2...

My money is on the update happening in January…
Lucid might as well hold off until Android Auto is ready, something like 2 to 156 weeks from now.

I think Android Auto will be this month too. Call me crazy…

That's my wild-a$$ guess as well. Around the end of January, unless Google needs something changed.

We should get a new update very soon. I would say, end of next week.

What are you basing this statement on? Knowledge or is this just a guess?

Anyone here having mobile key issues, post iOS upgrade? I have a 2025 GT that has been flawless up until the new app update, and now it frequently won’t open without quite a delay and a few door handle pushes, and also frequently asks me for my PIN (something it hasn’t done since the day I picked it up in September), once inside the car.

On my first drive the car kept on saying “No Key Detected.” I had the phone charging and when I removed the phone from the charger (also waking it up), the message would go away.

I traced the problem to the app hanging and then restarting it seemed on its own. I could not force quit it. And it would display the last page I was on which was the Maintenance page. I had left it there when entering the car.

After restarting the phone, all was fine and have not had problems since. I attribute the problem to leaving the app on something other than the main page (Maintenance this time) and then having the app unlock the car.

I had this issue my first two days -- when the App was crashing for me. Since then it has been flawless. I was asked twice to enter my PIN because "no key was present." The no key present message started coming up on the left screen once while I was in the middle of a drive. The solution was to restart my phone.

I am not entirely certain that this is all Lucid! Ever since updating to iOS 18.2, my phone has been a crashing, bug-ridden nightmare. Even the phone app itself has been crashing repeatedly!! Go Apple!! So, yes, we complain about Lucid's occasional flubs with software...what's Apple's damn excuse?!?
