NACS Charging at Tesla SCs

Thanks @borski @hmp10 @Ron_Burgundy

I see that you are all using the charging cable that came with the Gravity.

I am using the charger and cable that were already installed in my garage for the Tesla.
That could explain the different behavior.
I use our Tesla Gen2 mobile cable on occasion and haven't noticed a long disconnect delay either.

If you already have a 240-volt plug in your garage, maybe give it a go and see if the unlock delay problem resolves?
Thanks. I don't have that option. So I guess I just have to live with slow release of the tesla charger cable.

I haven't had a chance to charge the Gravity away from home yet. Will be interesting how it behaves with a different cable.

I was actually referring to superchargers specifically.

Actually, usually I use my Rivian charger with a NACS adapter on the end and have no issue with it locking, etc.

Thank you all who responded to my question. I found the answer in one of the forum posts.

It turns out that in the Gravity, you have to press the cable release button hard.
I wasn't pressing it hard enough.
Today it released right away after a charging session, when I pressed harder.

Where? There are no v4 superchargers built to date, to my knowledge. There are some where they have built out the units, but not the power cabinets, making them “v4” in name only (for Tesla or anyone else)

What you want is a v4 cabinet: https://insideevs.com/news/741083/tesla-v4-supercharger-cabinet-speed/
I realize that I'm very late to this thread. I'm waiting on my GGT and reading as many posts as possible. I work part-time in a small SC (that's South Carolina, not the other SC!) town named Manning at Exit 119 on I-95. There is a new Tesla V4 Supecharger that will be finished in 1 month with 60 covered stalls. I spoke with the construction manager who assured me of this. Hope this helps those of travelling I-95

Just be aware, the first V4 that opened in California is locked to Teslas only (for now at least).

Well, the good news is that has changed and we now have access:

Nice! I hope this means that as more true V4 sites come on line that they'll be open to us too. There's a 16 stall V4 being built not too far from me near a location I visit fairly often so it'd be a nice option to have.

More importantly if you charge an Air on it what is the speed?
Maybe in the 325kW-350kW range (limited by what the Air can max handle). These station can output up to 500kW and operate up to 1000V, so they will max out the Lucid Air.

Oh I’m aware. I wasn’t specific enough. I was talking real world someone who’s actually tried it and can report what they actually got, speed -wise.

Just saw that while browsing LinkedIn. Amazing! And I know I’m on the Gravity side of the forums but I really am curious what an Air will do on one of these.

The Air will charge on a 920V V4 Tesla supercharger the same as it would on any other fully functional 920V-capable 350+kW charging station from EA, EVGo, Ionna, Mercedes, etc.
Gravity can charge faster at a 400+kW station, but the Air does not gain from the additional capability, being limited to just over 300kW.
