It's not that it doesn't apply to non-Teslas. Current generation superchargers output 400 volts. Lucid Air is not really designed to take 400 volts. The Air has a lossy conversion process which limits it to 50kW. Other non-Teslas have a different way of handling the 400V architecture and do still get a higher power off of superchargers.
Did my very first charge at the local Tesla Supercharger (Easton, Maryland) and it was very smooth. Charge cable length is a real issue.No recent experience, but the technical part hasn't changed, you should see these CCS superchargers as a backup solution only. The 50kw limit is still true and the cost is prohibitive for such a slow charge speed. You'll take nearly 2 hours to fully charge your Lucid, and you'll pay about $50 for that at most superchargers
There aren't enough CCS stations in California. I can charge at home, but every once in a while, I check out curiosity and find that all chargers within a reasonable distance are in use. There are no 350kW chargers near me. And even though California has the lion's share of EVs in the US, Musk doesn't like California's government so he's taking it out on the people.
