“Trip A” is the efficiency for the actual miles driven. “Since Last Charge” includes all energy consumed while parked, HVAC, etc., as well as actual miles driven.
“Since Last Charge”, thus, will
always be less efficient, simply due to phantom drain, if nothing else.
Confusing? Absolutely, lol. It makes a little more sense if you think of “Trip A” as the
trip efficiency, and of “Since Last Charge” as the car’s
overall efficiency, but it should definitely be clearer.
Also, unlike almost everything else, this actually
isn’t in the manual, and really should be.
