What is the maximum charge rate that you have seen?
Hmmm... I actually tried to unplug and re-plug. also used the other side of the dual charger station... neither changed the car behavior.Yes that happened to me once. I also had a charging session stop inexplicably 20 minutes in and I had to go out, unplug then plug the car back in
Did the station show a screen waiting for payment? If so, open the Lucid app and initiate charge or do it through the charging tab on the car. If not, then you probably need to swap stations.Hmmm... Change stall, it happened to me couple months back in Dallas, they have several stalls like that in 2 of 4 EA stations I visited.Has anyone had the issue of plugging in to EA charger (150kw) while partially pre-conditioned, and have the car say it's "waiting" and actually never start the charge????
Welcome to the world of EA. The chargers are so unpredictable and unreliable the whole network should be torn down and rebuilt or VW should admit that they have no idea how to build infrastructure en masse. It's like you have to play a game of musical chargers every time you show up because eitherI just charged at an EA site that had two 350’s. Base state of charge was 36%. Plugged into the first 350 and got 89 kWh. So I unplugged and tried the other one and got 190 kWh. Huge variation between two charging towers that are right beside each other
sunlight prevented me from reading the screen (or screen was defective). good suggestion. I will pay attention next time... thanksDid the station show a screen waiting for payment? If you can't see the screen, it will show up on the charging tab as well if you need to initiate a payment. You will see a "Electrify America" button if you need to do it that way.sunlight prevented me from reading the screen (or screen was defective). good suggestion. Yes. I used to plug in and walk away. But due to some charging stations not working that well, I now plug in and wait to see if any additional instructions pop up on the screen (like needing to open app and initiate charging from the specific numbered charging station), visually confirm that charging has started, and if I’m in a hurry wait to see what the charging rate is and if it’s much slower than I expect or want, I sometimes will unplug and try the adjacent charger.Has anyone had the issue of plugging in to EA charger (150kw) while partially pre-conditioned, and have the car say it's "waiting" and actually never start the charge????
I don't have anything with CCS yet, but from what I've been reading these situations can sometimes be resolved by holding up on the connector at the car. The weight of the cable can cause the data pins to be partially disconnected during the initial handshake.Has anyone had the issue of plugging in to EA charger (150kw) while partially pre-conditioned, and have the car say it's "waiting" and actually never start the charge????
Not sure if this is relevant but the local 150Kw EA charger I use immediately shows a spinning ball and says connecting as soon as I plug in. They it says "Authorized" and in the lower right corner there is a "Continue" button that I have to press. As soon as I press it the charging starts. The rate of charge is definitely impacted by how many others are charging at that location. So you are supposed to stand there in either the hot sun or freezing rain and hold the connector up manually the whole time the car is charging?
It's nice WHEN it works. It was 305 just before I snapped the picture.

I’ve never had to do this.So you are supposed to stand there in either the hot sun or freezing rain and hold the connector up manually the whole time the car is charging?
I’ve had pretty good luck with chargers in Southern California as well.It must be a regional thing because I've only run into one EA charger that wasn't working. Every other EA charger around New England seems to work fine.
Even on the I5? Countryside Shell, Harris Ranch, Panoche Shell, Gilroy Outlets i've always had issues. Panoche Shell is just an embarrassment that EA needs to shut down the other locations are typically a case of playing musical chargers to get the right speed. The issue now is that the charging locations are becoming full so typically the one that is left free and is still working delivers a crap speed that everyone warns you about before you plug in.I’ve had pretty good luck with chargers in Southern California as well.
You got lucky. I've been scarred from that location. The last straw was spending 40 mins on the phone with EA moving the car from charger to charger to get one to work and burning my hand on the cable every time I went to plug it in. Was 115 outside and didn't appreciate standing out in the blistering sun troubleshooting with EA. To make matters worse when I finally got a charger working all I could get was 18Kw speed. I avoid that location at all costs now.Last time I was in Panoche was ez pz. All 4 were available and up and I just plugged in and walked away

Haha where is that charger so I can use it purty please? The piece of crap EA chargers at the WalMart near me never go about 200 (they’re 350kw). I got 301kw off one in Albany NY. I will say though every EA charger I’ve used in New England has at least worked, just not usually charged at the advertised speed even if preconditioned at a low SOC% with no other vehicles plugged in.It was 305 just before I snapped the picture.
