Glad to know personal attacks and replies are deleted. C'mon, this is obviously an emotion-charged subject, but politeness should prevail. We're all better than that.
I believe the SAs were earnest about LT coming. I had one ordered too. I think it was a last minute decision by management to take what is a MASSIVE move in auto manufacturing to stop a production line. I can envision the Board finally demanding a full reset - when you put together a production line stop, a major component redo, software fixes and improvements, simplification of build complexity, a headcount reduction and a decision to phase in 2027 model year changes - these are "Get your shit together" demands from the board! Put together as a whole, this is a "make it or break it" moment for Lucid Motors and we'll see how well they execute. The timing of these changes is not lost on me, given management will have to address these issues at the March program of the "New Lucid Motors". Management could have talked about nebulous future changes at Investor Day and done all of this afterward - instead, management has to tell us why they did it and it's infinitely more difficult to put a positive spin on it. These are really tough decisions they have to explain to us.
As an owner (I leased this one in case it didn't turn out right) and a shareholder (told you I'm old and stupid!) I am cautiously hopeful they identify all the chokepoints and address them all at once - because the issue is much larger than what colors are available, or pulled, or introduced later - we are watching a company fight for its life (yes, anthropomorphism or personification). The fun feature for me is I am deeply and emotionally involved in the fight and hopeful to watch the company survive. The less fun feature is if it doesn't, I will lose allot of money on capital loss as well as experienced the opportunity cost of not having deployed the capital elsewhere.
This is really a pivotal moment - for me, I continue to "Dream Ahead." For all of our sakes, I hope I am right.
