I don't think pulling a color is going to give them significantly bad press if any, especially when they're offering $5K for the inconvenience to those who waited. 90% of people will no doubt be happy with the $5K. Sorry, but money talks! For the others, cancel the order and take your business elsewhere.Considering that they pulled the rug on customers that have been waiting a long time, and the likelihood that this will generate bad press, they should have come up with a creative solution to get those customers what they want rather than just throwing $5k at it and assuming that will make everyone ok with their bait-and-switch.
Maybe in a couple of years, but it would be really poor form to kill LT after 15 months of reservation holders patiently waiting, not mention the new color to those reservation holders, and then release a new silver color shortly thereafter. Lucid would never do that, right? RIGHT!?!My guess LT is dead...and they'll just introduce another silver color.
The beige/sand color from the Gravity X concept looked very nice. Hopefully we see it come to fruition. The light color + stealth combos look really sharp.Seems like a mistake for them to only offer one light color.... Hopefully that changes
Would be incredible if they released the Gravity X, though I'm not holding my breathThe beige/sand color from the Gravity X concept looked very nice. Hopefully we see it come to fruition. The light color + stealth combos look really sharp.
Not really sure what the big deal is about Lunar Titanium. I understand people wanted it, but it seems like it’s not happening. Disappointments happen in life, I’m sure you could get your deposit back and move on to another vehicle if you’re unhappy with Lucid. Or just pick any color inventory vehicle if it has all the options you want. Take the $5k offer and get the Gravity wrapped in a Lunar Titanium color. Exterior colors are easy to change.I just received a call from a Lucid inside sales representative, and honestly I’m pretty shocked by the conversation.
They offered me the same $5,000 incentive, but it can only be applied to an inventory vehicle.
The problem is that there are no well-optioned inventory vehicles available, other than green. I was also told that I have six (6) days to either accept or reject the offer, and the incentive cannot be used toward a built-to-order vehicle.
At this point I’m honestly a bit speechless.
Lucid held my deposit for thirteen (13) months, during which time there were repeated assurances about the ordering process. Now they’ve closed the build-to-order option, and the only path forward they’re offering is to choose from the current inventory — which, at least from what I can see, doesn’t really match the configurations many of us originally ordered.
I’m struggling to understand how this is the outcome after waiting over a year.
Has anyone else been given the same $5,000 inventory-only offer?
If so, what are you planning to do?
Or ask if there are any Dream editions left, if you want it well optionedNot really sure what the big deal is about Lunar Titanium. Yeah, most incentives offered so far have been for inventory vehicles. I'd advise you to move to another color, after a month you don't even pay attention to what color your car is.I just received a call from a Lucid inside sales representative, and honestly I’m pretty shocked by the conversation.

But when you are losing money, that is a lot, Lucid can’t afford to give big discounts. And their pricing is competitive when compared to other manufacturers with similar specs. Everyone wants a killer deal, but that doesn’t mean you always get it. And you shouldn’t be expecting Lucid to be giving away huge discounts unnecessarily, that’s a good way to destroy the company.Which on a 120k car is only a 4% discount
Just buy new wheels with the 5k ……why get that upset about this? Or don’t get a Gravity, simple. You should be grateful they re offering the extra 5k.Gravity VIN doesn't encode wheel size (https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/decoder/VinDecoder?VIN=7UUG1GHJ6SA012345&ModelYear=2025). I'm sure this is just a company internal-bookkeeping restriction, i.e. they won't go back and modify the build database entry if the SC changes the wheels. So my complaint about Lucid's inflexibility in this case still stands. It doesn't seem to be a legal compliance issue, and they didn't offer that as an excuse when I asked for the wheel swap. The SC could log the wheels as defective on delivery and replace them. Considering that they pulled the rug on customers that have been waiting a long time, and the likelihood that this will generate bad press, they should have come up with a creative solution to get those customers what they want rather than just throwing $5k at it and assuming that will make everyone ok with their bait-and-switch.

Simple, cancel order, get full refund, and custom order again. If you really want the 5k discount, compromise on features with an inventory vehicle. Or cancel and don’t buy a Gravity.I just received a call from a Lucid inside sales representative, and honestly I’m pretty shocked by the conversation.

Why should they lie about wheels being defective? The sales team could get fired for that. Just get new wheels with the 5k if you are so fixed on that. Or get a Gravity with the wheel size you want and wrap the car silver with the 5k. Agree, I grabbed a white inventory unit at the end of January. It was only missing the Dynamic Handling package. To get the $4k inventory incentive it was worth forgoing and not sitting around waiting for the “perfect” Gravity. Having single air suspension and no rear wheel steering is perfectly fine with me. Saved me $6900 ($4k incentive + $2900 for the package). Sometime you just have to compromise. After seeing LT availability pushed out a few times, I read between the lines and ordered white/stealth instead. There weren't any vehicles with the option set I wanted in inventory.
I pick it up my new Gravity this Tuesday, about six weeks after ordering and am looking forward to having it in my garage - life's too short to fuss around any longer. If I get tired of Beluga White, I'll wrap it.
