LucidLogger

I tried to switch to miles and F and at least for the trip dashboard it works. But the temperature is still Celsius.
If you find any dashboards with bugs, let me know.

Hey, I have several Dashboards that are showing km, C, and/or bar instead of mi, F, and psi. I modified the dashboards and had to save as different names to get them how I want. I changed the settings in the main app page to the units I want, but all aren't changing. The ones that I had to modify are Status, Trip Monthly Statistics, Timeline, TPMS, Consumptions Statistics, and Odometer. Not really sure what's going on.

I started to check the dashboard for mi and F and fixed charging and trip dashboard.

I'll try to fix all dashboard the next few days, but im in vacation after 20th august.
For bar / psi, there is right now no settings and I can't promise to do it before my vacation.

Thanks so much. I have made duplicate dashboards where my miles, degrees, and psi are in the correct numbers. But I rather use the native dashboards, when possible, so I don't miss future enhancements. I look forward to the updates.

Hi Chris, any idea what might be wrong with my setup? When I click the MyLucid Credentials button, I get "JSON Parse Error!" Everything else seems to be ok.

Container restart fixed it. (docker restart teslalogger)

Seeing this in the logfile now:
12.08.2025 13:37:49 : Restart Grafana Docker container via linux socket
12.08.2025 13:37:49 : Copy /etc/teslalogger/language-en.txt to /var/lib/grafana/plugins/teslalogger-timeline-panel/dist/language.txt

12.08.2025 13:37:49 : Error restarting Grafana Docker container: Cannot assign requested address (localhost:80)
12.08.2025 13:37:49 : Error restarting Grafana Docker container: do you have the latest docker-compose.yml file??? Can't access docker socket!

I'm not sure if something else is using port 80, I can find out if need be.

There was a bug in Timeline Plugin Dashboard, after a trip was finished, the map has been drawn but not displayed. You can check your Timeline Plugin Dashboard if you have missing maps as well. The Problem is: if we create new maps, grafana won't show them. We have to restart grafana to make them visible  Thats why you need a new docker-compose.yml file.

Bash:
docker compose stop
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bassmaster187/TeslaLogger/refs/heads/NET8/docker-compose.yml -O docker-compose.yml
docker compose up -d

Apologies, it turns out I should've just followed the instructions in the error message. I didn't think there was a problem with the version of the compose file because it hadn't exhibited that problem in the past, so I thought I had some sort of runtime conflict going on as opposed to needing a patched compose file. All good now!

I am finding myself wondering "what to do" with the information. It's neat seeing the trips and consumption info, but I'm curious, as the author, what do you recommend as some of the most compelling use cases for the tool?

Well, the Teslalogger was founded in 2018. My usecase was to monitor my business trips to get my money back from my office. I found out many Tesla users are promoting very high ranges and very fast chargings. Teslalogger can tell you the truth. You can compare your consumption, range etc. Many users are watching their degradation. This was my degradation from start of 2019 untill i sold my Tesla last April:

My wife's Tesla had a massive degradation after 74000km (46000 Miles). Tesla said: everything ok. I was able to show them, it is not ok and I got a new battery:

In summer i track how much of my charges are from solar. That's just for fun.

Or a map with where I have been with my car and can show other people electric vehicle are very good for very long distances. The trip to Romania was 5300km (3300mls). Next week we'll make a jurney to Greece with my Lucid. Thats like 3000mls. I'm really exited. Serbia and North Macedonia will be a challege. No Internet connection for the Lucid. Most charges are very unreliable. I hope the apps i downloaded will work there. Most people doesn't speek English - they learned Russia in school as their 2nd language... And they have cyrillic script, I can't read.

many users have a tablet in their living room showing the SOC of their car:

there are million of usecases. You have to find a usecase for you.
TeslaFi has more than 100000 users with a paid subscription. So at least they find a usecase for their usage. TeslaLogger / LucidLogger is free and is supported by donations, but I think no LucidLogger user has made a donation so far.

Is there a way to add mi/kWh column to the Trip Dashboard?

@bassmaster187 there are 2 versions of the Air Pure, pre 2024 AWD, and post 2024 RWD.

Do you think you could track them differently in https://teslalogger.de/degradation.php, as they are effectively different trims under the same name?

These are the specs of the 2 from Lucid:

I saw there are differences. Do you have the new air pure rwd? I need to identify it. I think the range/kWh ratio is different. After I come back from my journey to Greece with the lucid, I'll check it.

The RWD has a slightly lower battery capacity, but otherwise I'm not sure how to distinguish them from the data either. Let me know if you come up with something.

Note the two distinct blue clusters, clearly AWD with the same pack as Tourings and RWD below that. But no idea how to tell the difference between a new RWD and a very degraded AWD based on that.

I am running the container on Synology (DSM 6). When I make the slightest change to the Trip dashboard (just resizing the column), I get prompted to Save the file and then get this error:

This dashboard cannot be saved from the Grafana UI because it has been provisioned from another source. Copy the JSON or save it to a file below, then you can update your dashboard in the provisioning source.

Is this normal or is my setup wrong. I am trying to read the Grafana docs on "Make changes to a provisioned dashboard", but I am not understanding it at all.

Too late to delete the above post. Figured it out. I had to save to a json file and then copy it to
/volume1/docker/TeslaLogger/TeslaLogger/GrafanaDashboards/
