Lucid pricing the Gravity to be competitive with other SUVs in the EV market 👍I'm confident demand will be strong for the Pure model.

$79k for the Touring is going to be a huge. That makes it very competitive against the Rivian R1S, Mercedes EQS/EQE, Audi Q8 E-tron, Model X, BMW iX, Volvo EX90, and Polestar 3.

We have an Air Touring and a Rivian R1S. The Gravity Touring will be much more premium and better driving than the Rivian. Buy the Gravity for a premium SUV, the Rivian for off-road.

My guess is we end up with a Gravity Touring and swap our Rivian R1S for a Rivian R1T (truck) in next year or two.

Isn't late 2025 for the Touring surprising? I would not have expected anywhere near that long a delay.
Yeah I just saw the Touring won't launch until late 2025. That is a big bummer. Looks like I'll be waiting another 12 months.

I hope that Lucid releases production forecast for 2025 broken out by Air and Gravity. That may give us an idea of why the timing for touring.

Does this mean only the 94k model will be available for order or will the 79k model also be available for order on the 7th even though won’t be available until late 2025?

Full announcement details:

So, apparently no Dream Edition. Any chance of a Performance trim level of the Grand Touring?

I wonder if any journalists have been doing test drives of the Gravity under embargo and, if so, whether the embargo will be lifted prior to orders opening? I just called the Miami Design Studio, and they're not going to have a display or test drive vehicle available until sometime well after the opening or orders. Without any test drive reports, it means ordering kind of blindly.

It's interesting that this sort of cursory overview announcement mentioned a 3-chamber air suspension option but none of the other options that Lucid personnel have discussed earlier.

Peter did just say Gravity volume production would not begin until 2026, so I am expecting maybe 3-5K get delivered total by next year....

The Tweet from Nick Twork posted above states that "[o]rders will initially be taken for Grand Touring trim." So, no ordering a Touring until a later date.

I'm very happy that they're opening orders, and especially that the Touring will start below $80k. But I share others' disappointment that the Touring won't be available for a year. My family probably cannot wait that long; was really hoping for next summer....

Touring will be late 2025 because they are going to be so busy building and delivering GTs.

Don't ask me if this is sarcasm or hopium.

Strange that orders will open in 9 days, but no word on what the differences are between Touring and GT. Or what the options/pricing will be. I'd love to figure these out before orders actually open.

You think they would prioritize Air owners who's warranty is about to expire and build me a Touring before the end of November? 😂😂😂

Have to believe they will lay out all the various options in the configurator between the GT and Touring versions, but won't be producing the Touring until next year. Am curious if there will be a trade-in option for existing Air owners, or if we'll be left to our own devices...

FWIW, my wife really wants executive style captains chairs (specifically the ones shown in the original Gravity teaser video), which likely won't be available until a later date, if at all...
