While this is technically true, you can sign a waiver with Lucid (and Tesla and everyone else) to be provided with the front frame but not have it installed.

If I did have a front plate, it would be a licenseplatewrap.com “plate,” as that is legal in CA.

And I have one sitting in the trunk of my Air for if I ever get pulled over and told to fix it. Then I’ll slap on the wrap.

So far so good.

It's a fix-it ticket which means you attach one, have it signed off by a cop and pay a small fee. I had that happen once when I parked in a city zone where they scan plates. I did the fix it with a removable bracket (they won't sign off if you just tape it on, it has to appear permanent), then ordered a licenseplatewrap. I don't object to having a front plate, I object to permanently modifying the front bumper and changing the aerodynamics so I'm glad that LPW exists and happily rocked one on my previous car after some prodding from the ticket.

Saw this test vehicle with a bunch of equally spaced dots on the rear end. There are no wires connected to the dots. Any ideas what Lucid engineers are testing?

Somebody at one of the sites I work at has a Dream Edition. To decide who has first parking rights I’ll need to see what DE # they are.

I saw my first Gravity today outside of the local Lucid Studio parking lot! A fellow Dream Edition, Aurora Green Gravity owner, stuck for 5 hours with their kids at our kids' swim meet; at least transporting all those camping chairs is pretty easy, huh.

I saw my first Gravity in the wild today! Til now, I thought I was the only one in the Baltimore area. Passed a black one. I was so excited I flashed my lights probably a little bit too aggressively. I did get a wave in return....

so for those of you who own a Lucid- has anyone seen another Gravity on the road yet? Here in the Philly burbs (near Lansdale/North Wales) I've seen the Air plenty of times but so far I'm the only one in the area as far as I can tell with one.

i've seen exactly one Gravity on the road where I live. Even Air sightings are fairly rare, to be honest. Maybe 1 every other day. A fellow member reached out to be the other day though; they are about to take delivery on a Gravity and they live in my area, so hopefully I'll start seeing a few more. Just not too many more I still want to be special.

I've seen a few on city streets in San Francisco (assumed GTs since no bear logo on fenders), and have seen a couple on highways too. Colors spotted in the wild to date: Aurora Green and Abyss Black.
