Lucid Earth (midsize crossover): ready by summer 2027?

But do keep in mind that the Midsize project includes three vehicles, not just one - the crossover may not be the one to hit that mark, if any. (Also none of them are named Earth so far as we know, that is also wild speculation.)
Lucid does own three trademarks for potential vehicles: Earth, Space, and Ocean (sorry Fisker). it could be any one of those or none. We’re just a few months away at getting a preview of the first model.

I do not mind the delay as long as they come out with a sold amazing out of this world car 🚙 and amazing software and hardware

In fact, I want them to delay so I can keep buys cheap stocks below 3 before it blows up and I regard not buying enough

You know what if it does skyrocket to 100 I will dance 💃 like belly dancer and post the video here 🤣 jk

Bottom line no hurry and enjoy the ride

Interesting that midsized production is slated for the KSA. I wonder if it'll also be made in the USA.
I thought that part was weird. Why spend billions on a factory in Arizona and keep expanding it to only do Air & Gravity. It's probably wrong as they also said Uber was interested in the mid-market when we know they're already committed to 20,000 Gravity. One thing is for certain, Lucid can't afford to fumble the mid-market production when all its competitors will have their vehicles out a good 6 to 12 months beforehand.

What I have heard is that the midsize line will be the first where cars for Europe, Saudi, UAE, etc. will be produced entirely in AMP-2 (rather than knock-down kits). North American midsize will still be produced in AMP-1.

I can't imagine any of the midsize vehicles will not be manufactured at AMP-1. Lucid is already adding to its facilities at AMP-1 to accommodate midsize and has some plans for the Coolidge, AZ site.

I wonder if production cost per unit is cheaper in KSA. Would that be a reason to make the less-expensive units out there?

They are building B&W for midsize at AMP-1 right now. Also acquired Nikola Coolidge facility will be a pilot line for the first midsize vehicles per Mark Winterhoff.

Shame the small sedan sounds like it's the last of the trio to come out, I am concerned this off-road thing is a fad as far as dedicating a whole model line to it.

Smart move to do the sedan last in my opinion when SUV seems to be the car of choice these days.

I agree. SUVs are what is selling now. The sedan would be the one I want, but I don't mind waiting. It'll be a while before I'm buying another car.

I agree with a standard SUV/Crossover, but to say Camry, Accords, Model 3s sell less than niche off-roaders doesn't make sense.

Just multiply the current Gravity by 0.9, and I'd be happy. How hard could that be? 😆

Well, more like .5 for price but size wise yes .8-.9:) I am very curious if that is what they did with the Atlas Motor, is scale down the current set by 0.6 to get 350 HP.

1. SUV’s way outsell sedans
2. Easy to modify an Earth with some body armor/cladding, lift and bigger wheel/tires, add off-road specific software
3. Off-road specific vehicle’s are very popular even if most will never leave pavement - they like the looks and will sacrifice range to get it
4. Lucid can charge a decent “Special Edition” premium for this vs. regular Earth
5. Sedan may ride on Earth chassis, but will require new body, interior, other extensive mods.

It's likely a mass production version of the Formula E front motor.

Well unfortunately Lucid is no longer involved with Formula E for Gen 4 for battery or drive.
