Lucid Air Touring v Porsche Taycan

Seems Porsche sorted out their early bugs then! Could be luck-of-the-draw. Really hard for me to choose between a GTS and an Air GT...
Some Porsche folks did not have the same positive experience, however, as you have; with weeks in-the-shop. I'll keep lurking back and forth like a creeper I guess for a few more weeks before I pull the trigger. Pros and cons and both sides.

I would say if you want the best sports sedan go Taycan. If you need space for family use…large rear legroom, trunk, frunk, etc… go with the lucid.

Space is not needed, as I'm used to Lotus Elise Touring as a daily driver. Performance-wise, the Air GT and Taycan seem similar but the Air has a faster 0-100 mph.
If the Air GT was fitted with GT-P rubber, it'd potentially get close to the Taycan GTS lateral-g of 1.0 compared to the Air's 0.9 maybe. A full tenth is significant though.
It's my initial opinion the Air after all the OTA updates is potentially more reliable than the Taycan and is more cruise-y and swank.

There’s also the case of “supporting the underdog.” If I was really on the fence (as if simply could not decide), I’d personally rather help Lucid than Porsche with my $$.

I currently drive a taycan 4S, I am going for a test drive in an air on friday, I will post my opinions on monday.

my lease on the taycan is expiring soon and I have shopped a MB EQE and a BMW I5, I preferred the I5

the thing that brought me to consider Lucid is range and pricing.
I could not wait to turn in the taycan 4s for the lucid touring. There were numerous issues with the taycan, software updates drove me crazy and Porsche is not easy to deal with if you have issues with the car. I love the lucid. The tech support is exceptional for a car company.

Interesting thread, as I own and Audi e-Tron GT (brother of the Taycan) and have an AGT on order. I am expecting this to be a lateral move. The two worst things about my Audi are the terrible service and the lack of range. The car is a little cramped but is a spectacular driving machine. I am looking forward to more range, less inept service, and better room for people ans stuff.
