Lucid Air GT
Did anyone experience overheating on the Lucid Air? I have a GT that overheated the second day, and the speed was limited to 35 mi/hr. The yellow Turtle 🐢 sign came on and with a warning ⛔️ alerting me of the speed reduction. Lucid customer care told me to leave it behind and take Uber home.

Still waiting for the car to be fixed.

Sounds like the other ones, did you notice coolant on the floor?

I know a coupleof people have had Turtle but not sure if they had to leave it by the side of the road. Did you at least wait for them to come pick up your car?

Have had mine since April and live in SoCal where it's more hotter than cold most days and never had an issue with overheating

Whereabouts are you? Someplace particularly hot? That's a little worrisome, I live in Phoenix where it is pretty toasty. There are a couple/few people with Airs around here, haven't heard them mention that...

I have reserved a Pure so I don't have mine yet. But I am carefully monitoring this forum for my fellow Scottsdale/PV folks to see how their cars handle the hot summer weather.

They told me to lock it and leave it in the parking lot. After they picked it up, I received many text messages to track the location of the car.

I’m in PA and the weather was in the high 80s, so it’s hot but not that hot. Maybe there was a loose wire somewhere. Hopefully, I’ll find out soon.

We are in Texas our temps will be 90-105 all summer long. Should be interesting. Like another owner said every car has a different set of issues therefore harder to identify and correct. Shows they still have a long way to go BUT-as long as the Service level is High and the Car is not dangerous to drive we will survive this.

the post i made with that guy on YouTube talking about his Model-Y was a revelation.

The turtle mode has been seen by @Variable and @mmassey33. Both had a rear motor replaced to resolve the problem.

Coolant on the floor? I have liquid dripping underneath the car sometimes but I assumed it to be from AC condensation.

It’s been consistently 80+ with a high of 104 here and never remotely close to an over heating issue.
We are talking about air conditioning. Is there any indicator out there that shows overheating which would be if the battery got extremely hot?

The OPs post was talking about overheating in regards to the pack - causing turtle mode and speed reduction.

If it is just clear water, then it is AC condensation. Asked my mobile service guy during an unrelated visit and he confirmed that’s exactly what it was. If it’s viscous colored fluid on the other hand…then that’s probably not normal

It was definitely water, sigh of relief.
