Just got your Air? Consider buying this stuff

For states that require a front license plate, you may want to consider a license plate decal so as not to reduce your fuel efficiency. I ordered mine for my Texas plates and it is perfect!

Thanks but would it affect the paint if it had to come off for any reason? Maybe someone would make one that hangs on the front grille and just reflects the Number on the Front Bumper 🤪

I just got my sticker plate and told my DA to not put on a front plate - I am sure it will come with the front plate anyway but I will keep reminding the DA.

yea, but i flipped flopped a few times - so I caused a ton of confusion...
My DA told me where two plates are needed in a State they will send two plates and they will send the mounting bracket for the front but wont attach it if that is what you ask. We shall see.

Might add one of these:

These cars are just so stupid fast!! 😇
What are those now 5K Custom Install. I had the portable one in 1996 and a diffuser. Not sure it saved me but then I do not speed much. We shall see. I still have my little K-40 probably totally outdated.

What is the discount with the code for the Spare? I was told 961$ includes mounting. Matching full size Rim and Tire. Tony the other DA told me now its 1050$. Where is that discount code to buy the Tire. Has anyone used it to buy one? My tire will be the 19” Range With matching Rim. It’s done by a different department therefore they will call me to discuss.
I think the discount code you're referring to is when purchasing a spare from a company called EZ Spare. If you're buying a full-sized spare from Lucid, there is no discount code. If you do a search for EZ Spare, you should be able to find it or someone will respond to this with the answer. The biggest thing to keep in mind is how you plan to use your spare. With a full size, you can carry in in your trunk and take up most of that space, so your storage options might be limited on a road trip. Or having one on hand at home may allow you to swap if you have a slow leak and can get back home. But the EZ Spare one fits in the lower compartment of the frunk which is great for traveling BUT it is a spare that you will want to replace sooner than later and you can't drive more than 55 mph with it.

I opted for EZ Spare just as a means of being able to get somewhere safer or to a tire place if I'm traveling. This way I'm prepared but I don't have to throw a much larger tire into the trunk and take up all that room for something I may not need.

The link and code are in the first post of this thread.

I think that I pay around $4k for the radar and laser detectors. Not cheap but it's built in and works well.

A garage door opener?! Why? I did gather a few days ago that the garage door doesn't open and close automatically when you leave, or open and close automatically when you come back.

Isn't there a garage door function on any of those fancy screens?

That's what they did for me.

I put my $500 Uniden unit on the dash and hid the cable fairly well under the pilot panel using 3m cable stickers, and connected to a 12v USB adapter and hid that cable too. While the coating on the windshield does make the detector react a little later than in my prior car it still gives me plenty of time, and doesn’t require thousands of dollars and taking the car apart all for the sake of a little better performance and hidden cabling. The only annoying thing is the USB cable does not send power until it recognizes something is plugged into it, so I have to unplug and reconnect the 12v jack into the adapter everytime I get in the car.

Thanks for that info. Right now my first thing to do is some PPF in the front and then go from there. Unlike most I am on a very tight budget.

I don’t have money to burn either, so I have to spend judiciously when it comes to all these extras.

At the very least have the high impact areas PPF covered - bonnet, front bumper, headlamps, front fenders and both door mirrors.

In addition to the above areas my local PPF shop also covered all four door handles, the baggage door sill, and about two thirds of the rear bumper area.

All the above areas were part of their “partial PPF protection package.”

I found total PPF coverage cost prohibitive, so I elected to do what my local shop recommended - partial PPF coverage and complete ceramic coatin coverage, including all four wheels.

I hear you. I will start with the partial PPF. Maybe like bunny I will do the Ceramic myself, it’s not like it’s permanent. The Partial PPF I was quoted is 1800 plus tax and Ceramic on the rest is 1400 but not tires. They would be another 450.
A bottle of that advanced ceramic from Adam’s is like 120$ for the whole kit.

I think my partial does not cover the back.

We can wrap the areas you requested with our Full Front Package for $1800, plus tax. For that, you get the bumper, full hood, full fenders, mirrors, headlights plus the door edges and cups, too.
We choose STEK'S DYNO Shield for its clarity, flat as glass appearance, self healing properties and the ceramic infused topcoat makes it the most stain resistant film available.
Let me know if you have any questions, and find out more about STEK and the films they manufacture at www.stek-usa.com
Please note my temporary address while we remodel the Hebron shop.

$1400 to ceramic the remaining paint, trim and glass. Wheels off package adds $450 and that includes, removing the wheels, coating the wheel facings, inside barrels and brake calipers.
Bumper to bumper ppf is $7000. You don't have to ceramic STEK's DYNO Shield like other films; Xpel, Sun-Tek, 3M and Premium Shield.

10 year warranty on the PPF includes labor.

What is baggage door sill? The rear trunk area? Also why 2/3rds of rear bumper and not all?

I hope the Ceramic protects that for me. We shall see. Definitely can’t do it in June 😰. PPF will be in June. Expected delivery now is June 9th or later because I just sent my payment today via FedEx 🤞🙈

I would NOT recommend doing the advanced ceramic kit. That’s very long lasting, 5 years in testing. You want something more forgiving if you make a mistake or three and easier to correct, so that’s why I chose the Adams Graphene ceramic spray which is $30 a bottle and good for 6 months to a year. Some owners here use the Turtle Wax ceramic which is even less $ and sounds easier to remove. Shoot me a message if you decide on the Adams, I’ll give you some pointers I didn’t know about because the bottle and their YouTube videos and customer support all give conflicting advice. The upside is it will save you a ton of $ if you do it yourself. The downside is you have to plan well and have more than just the Graphene spray to do it right (you need microfiber appplicator pads, lightly abrasive polish and polish applicator if you screw up, surface prep for after washing the car and before you apply to fully dry out the surface and remove soap residue). Don’t put it on the glass even though Adams recommends it. It has a different curing time, harder to see if you’ve wiped it off correctly, and it’s hard to remove if you notice problems later on in different lighting.

Thanks Bunny, will definitely give you a shout if I decide to do it myself which I might if/when I fall in love with the car. Also thinking about that 7500$ rebate off the top on my Tax Liability. So many thoughts a decisions going through my mind right now. The first of which is that the FedEx Payment gets there safely tomorrow. If you did not know you cannot insure a check, at least not at FedEx 😓😓😓. Then next is that the delivery takes place smoothly next week and the fit/finish is immaculate. Then Partial PPF, and think about Graphene. THEN Enjoy the car and learn to drive with regen. Hope my home charger works well it is the nema 14-50 on a dedicated 50Amp breaker. Then perhaps in July think of other things like the spare tire etc and cleaners.

Just an idea. I would suggest you post your suggestion to this forum. I would save you a lot of time sending emails to all of us who are interested. I did receive your email and really appreciate the effort you did to put it together! Many thanks.
