2019 Lincoln Navigator,
I had a 2019 Lincoln Navigator that had H.U.D. and that worked perfect. You can bring it down or up as far as you want. With this one I learn that I can adjust my seat, adjust the height of it down all the way and then readjust my seat too. When my head is straight ahead, I can see it very lightly. And I've got use to it, and it is great.

It's very basic, but t's been on since delivery. No issues here.

I have no problems with it honestly. I just wish they'd get around to finishing the AR features it's supposed to have.

I like the HUD. I find that I don't need to take my eyes off the road for anything driving-related because the HUD shows everything I need, including blind spot warnings. I know some people have trouble adjusting it for their height. I'm 5'9 and the lowest HUD position works well for me

The height is my big issue with it. If I scrunch down a bit, I can get it into perfect brightness / focus. At my comfortable height, it’s dim and a bit blurry.

In addition, it’s really just a repeat of the speed I can clearly see just below it. So other than the blind spot warnings, I find it underwhelming and a bit distracting, to be honest.

I use CarPlay for navigation, so I don’t get the helpful next turn prompts, either.

My understanding was that this was supposed to be some major advancement for HUD tech when Lucid announced it. But I have no idea if they are going to be making more improvements or just leaving it at this point. For now, I just turn it off most of the time. I’ll check in when there’s an update and reassess.

Maybe they will integrate CarPlay into the HUD, that’s how BMW is

I had to turn mine off. I get this double vision/blurry display no matter what position I sit in. I tried to power through it during a trip to see if I could “get used to it” but it ended up giving me a headache from the double vision. At this price point, I should not have to adjust to the technology, it should just work. I do have a service appt to see if maybe it needs to be calibrated or replaced, because there is just no way they shipped this thing with the double vision intentionally. We shall see, but super disappointed with the tech for its price.

They’ve removed all reference to the word “AR” from the site, even though the image still shows some AR functions and the description still mentions things it simply can’t do today

Lucid does need to be more careful with advertising wishful thinking vs reality. It's asking for future trouble.

Perhaps this one will be the last, given it was one of the last promises Peter made when he was still CEO.

Silvio doesn’t seem to be promising the moon thus far.

An ambitious startup does require blue-sky optimism from its CEO.

HUD is OK but with the exception of blind spot warning lights, it is just repetitive of what is on main dash display. Way overpriced for what it currently delivers. Just got done watching a review of new Porsche Cayenne EV which has an AR HUD that is exponentially better than current Lucid HUD.

The information in the HUD is brilliant and will only get better with AR features I would guess. However, it is absolutely unbearably bad. It is too blurry and gives a headache. Not sure if it is because I am wearing glasses or somethign else. It is MUCH better at night but unusable during the day. We have pretty much turned it off since we got the car about 3-4 weeks ago. (yes, tried adjusting the height several times)

I find the HUD to pretty basic, I added it as the 120 outlets were combined with it when I ordered my GT. If I had known that the AR component would be a non starter I would have used the extra dollars on an alternative upgrade... I still regret not going with the 22 / 23" wheels!

The pros outweigh the cons for me. Yes, the issues with positioning and glare are big and annoying. I have to sit much lower than I usually prefer (although that has the added benefit of making the view out the rearview mirror a little less terrible). I had to get new non-polarized subscription sunglasses.

But now that I have it dialed, I would hate to be without it.

I don't care much that AR isn't doing anything yet. I use AA for nav anyway so it probably wouldn't do much for me.

Our Porsche Macan EV HUD works perfectly, even with polarized sunglasses. That was our first car with HUD, so that was my expectation for the Gravity. Boy was that a letdown. But with a lot of compromises, it's usable now.

It’s defective garbage that offers zero useful functionality. Its hardware is incapable of doing the things it was initially advertised to do, and the one piece of information it does display (speed) is already visible in a non-blurry, non-headache-inducing form just a few inches below it. It’s literally worse than useless.

But people power through and endure it because they know they paid thousands of dollars for it, so they’ll use it even if it makes their driving experience worse.

there’s nothing for the techs to adjust, by the way, so anyone making a service appointment for it is just wasting their time.

By far the biggest failure of the gravity, IMO.

I love my car, but the HUD is an embarrassment.

Yes, I like the HUD. I prefer having it vs. not having it, but it's not what was promised. I hope it eventually is.
