How to tell if the car is charging!!!

Hi:

Ok, my new 240 plug was just installed. I plugged the mobile charger into the car, and the car said it was plugged in. Then i plugged the other end into the 240 socket and .... nothing. The car also mobile notified my wife (but not me) that the car needed to be plugged in a different plug --- not sure of the exact message.

How does the car notify me that it is receiving a charge?

Never mind -- i tried the 120 ac, and I see that it's working and what it says. I think the 240 was not turned on correctly (I've tried both breakers -- to the sub and on the sub-panel)

Typically you'd want to plug into your outlet first then the car as well. But it does sound like your 220 is not wired up.
