Ok i’m about to purchase a Lucid at the only problem that I have with the Lucid is they do not come with heads up display or as much as they cost I prefer a heads up display

I don’t disagree with you here. I wish it had that too. That said, the main dashboard is well within the field of view.

I haven’t wanted for one since the driver binnacle is right in front of you, but I agree I would love one. I am going to be jealous of the HUD in my wife’s gravity. :p

Before lucid my daily driver was a 7 series with HUD, which I really loved.

That said, I feel like the position of the lucid air display is pretty good, most of time I forget it doesn't have a HUD.

I hope she lets you drive it, at least once 😏

For now, only the Gravity, not Air, would give you a head-up display option in the $3,200 Technology Package.

not for me, I like my steering wheel to be as low as possible, when in that position a good part of the display is blocked, I cannot see one slice of the speed reading.

Having owned cars with HUDs as I currently do, I notice an interesting pattern. After a short period of time I tend to look right through the HUD, not even noticing its presence. Further, if you wear polarized sunglasses, they all but disappear.

So yes, I guess it’s nice to have the option, but for me it’s no big deal.

I used to say that I would never buy another vehicle without a HUD. Then I went on the waiting list for a Lucid. My reason was that I was willing to consider the Lucid despite not having a HUD because, as @Bobby and @borski pointed out, the binnacle is almost a HUD. But it still would be nice if it had one, especially if one is able to customize it so it only displays the information one wants to see while driving.

I have had many cars with HUD, the first being a 92 Bonneville SSEi, I never used it on that car or the many other cars I have owned since then as I like a clean windscreen.

I thought the HUD thing was silly until I had a GMC Canyon with the feature. Now I'm really missing it in the Air. Strange decision by Lucid to skip the feature given the market class it's supposed to be in, imho.

I feel the same way as you with every HUD I've ever used, including the Ioniq 5 I own now.

I suspect you may not feel the same way with the Gravity's HUD. You'll have to let us know! :)

I have had HUDs for a number of years and have loudly proclaimed that it was necessary for me. I reluctantly gave Lucid a pass as the display is so high and right in front of the driver that it almost functions like a HUD.
