2022 E-tron GT. The lane centering was very smooth. I would use it on my way home from restaurants after have a glass of wine. I think the Lucid ADAS might get me pulled over for erratic driving. Maybe I do need to have it in for service.

Lucid DreamDrive has not achieved the maturity or smoothness like others do just yet.

I hope they fixed it the Gravity but for my Air, operating the cruise/drive assist is too cumbersome. A roller just like the volume control would be better that holding the spring-loaded switch to adjust to speed. Each time I stop without a leading car in front, restarting the cruise/drive assist is a chore.

The nagging for steering torque is better but it's not perfect. I hope the new hands-free update will fix this nagging nuisance.

Auto Lane Change works intermittently probably due to mapping, speed restrictions... Dependability needs to be improved at any speed and for any roads.

Lane Centering is fine on straight roads but not on sharp curves.

I wouldn't depend on collision avoidance feature just yet. Approaching at a high speed toward a stationary object is asking for troubles if I don't take over and manually start braking.

As the system matures, it will get better.

It's a chore to flip the left steering wheel toggle up? Or tap the accelerator? 🤨

Yes. I have to take off my eyes from the road to flip the spring-loaded switch up and down to adjust to the street sign posted speed. Same with pressing the pedal and take off my eyes to get to the correct speed. Not only a chore but also an unsafe practice.

Huh??
Neither of these things are true, because if you just use the brake to stop, either flicking the switch up or down once or tapping the accelerator will resume. You don't have to re-set the speed.

Applying the brake pedal would take the cruise off. Pressing the left flipper would resume the cruise but not the posted speed of 45mph. I have to flip up the flipper or press the foot pedal to increase to the desired speed.
 
Are we little off topic on the thread. Every time i see an update on this thread since today morning it is nothing related to handsfree ☹️. Time is ticking and few of the owners are waiting for the OTA. Lets push the dream drive discussion else where please 🥺
 
I was naively hoping that the east coasters would get the update at midnight EST....can confirm that is not the case :(

Not complaining at all, just super excited for this one. Without a doubt the most exciting update since I have been a part of the Lucid community!
 
Y'all remember that updates are rolled out over about a two week period, best case?

That would be a shame, it's a pretty big deal to announce the date then make some wait two weeks.

Isn't the subset of cars this applies to much smaller? Only Pro? Instead of every single car?

what would be a shame is releasing this to every car and rendering them all unable to drive.

Sometimes things happen when you roll out software to tens of thousands of cars. Lucid usually releases a given OTA over a two-week period to catch rare issues as early as possible.
Every Air will get this release, whether or not hands-free driving is relevant to the car.
 
Does putting the blinker on full force change lanes or does it require a light touch?
Does lane change work on a four lane divided highway, but not limited access?

Requires full force and then you'll see the "Lane Change Initiated" indicator pop up. Lane change will work when you see the dotted lane lines on your dash.

This is not correct, you do not have to use full force on the turn signal. Moving it halfway will also activate lane change assist.

I am waiting for the Down Load today, for the Hands Free Driving . But there are no Down Loads yet? Does anyone knows when it will happen?
