Gravity V3.5.7

Yes, that’s how it was designed.
It surprised me that leaving the door open and getting out for just a few seconds would require a whole new app button authorization.

Now I wonder if I'm on the highway and get stuck for construction and put the car in Park while waiting, if I'd need to grab the phone and reauthorize just to get the car in gear again?

Why would you put the car in park? Pressing the brake and coming to a full stop will put the car into a "hold" mode and you don't need your foot on the brake.

I did that the other day - went to the car, got in, and it wouldn't leave Park. Played around trying to figure it out before realizing I left the fob in the house. I must have left the car unlocked in the garage (which is unusual, but I had been playing around with it that morning).

Another day I tried using the 2-minute Unlock&Drive button in the app (without carrying the fob) to go get the mail from our community mailbox. When I pull up there I leave the car on, put it in Park, leave the door open to grab the mail, and get back in. I got back in and it wouldn't go into gear! Aargh. Started to panic since I was blocking the mailbox. Thought I was gonna have to leave the car there and run home to get the fob. But then I tried the Unlock&Drive button again and it worked. Apparently if you use that, you have to reuse it again any time you take the car out of Drive.
Yep. You have to use the app every time.

Yeah, or have another key. If you have the fob, phone, or keycard, any of them will work fine (though then you wouldn't need the 'remote start').

Opening the door puts it in Park.

They are both busy watching cat videos in the new native YouTube app
I'm at a bachelor party in Vegas and my Gravity is in service 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, I can always dig the cardkey out as the emergency backup. And I normally carry the fob. I was really just doing a test to see how the app button works and whether it would be a better option to use full-time if the fob continues to be slow. But it looks like it could be a bigger pain than the fob and relegate it to backup too. I know there's not a lot of cases where I'd put the car in Park just for a moment, but getting the mail is a daily one. Having to restart it in the app just for a 15-second jump-out with the door open would make that pretty annoying. Specific example, I know, but there are rare other times when the car goes in Park while in it. Maybe drive-thrus too (restaurant, ATM, etc).

Looks like dealing with fob slowness is still the least annoying. At least until PAAK shows up (if it works).

That's a good joke... I know for sure the Gravity Unicorn Edition doesn't need service! Page 666 of the manual! 😂
I never said it didn't need service. In fact, I am pretty sure I posted the service list elsewhere on the forum previously. They're just all super minor things, plus the recalls and TSCs/TSBs.

I know, I know. Bad attempt at humor coming from personal frustration. Apologies if it came out as offensive.

No worries, haha. Just didn’t want anyone getting the wrong idea :p

Got to read the notes of the new update. Can’t say what’s in it, but very welcoming update. I think owners will be happy.
Bro you just killing us all here 🥹 almost prefer you didn't post 🤣

But can you at least tell us the number of the new/updates? 5, 6. 10? 👀
