Gravity software updates

The HUD I noticed new steering wheel icon at certain speeds. So some improvement on the HUD has been made with this update
Over all the connectivity has improved with no glitches
It was always there but I think it got a size upgrade so it was more noticeable.

It’s basically telling you that you can enable Drive Assist and is also visible on the Cockpit as well.

And also it turns orange-ish when Drive Assist is enabled.

Highly possible. Previously I missed it but now after the upgrade it has become more prominent and clearly noticeable.

This feels important -- at least in my X, the scariest moments have been where I've thought "FSD" was enabled but it had actually tripped off earlier for some reason. Yes, there's an auditory signal when it turns off, but the only real-time indication is "is the tiny steering wheel blue".

We just started the 3.2.1 update. There were four differences in doing OTA updates on our Air:

- There was no dot by the settings icon on the Gravity pilot screen telling you an update was available as there is on the Air. You could only find the notice by opening the settings menu. There is, however, an update notice given on the mobile app for the Gravity.

- The update could not be initiated from the car's screens as it can be in the Air. It could only be initiated from the mobile app.

- The car could not be plugged in to our home Level 2 charger when updating, although the information on the screen only said it should not be plugged in to public fast chargers. The Air can stay plugged in to a Level 2 charger, with the update simply interrupting charging until the update is complete. Confusingly, there was a warning that charging might not automatically resume after the update, suggesting the car could be left plugged in to a Level 2 charger.

- The update would not commence until I exited the car and initiated the update via the mobile app. There was a notice that the update could not initiate until all passengers had exited the vehicle. In the Air, the screen will accept the command to initiate the update while you are still in the car and then give you a countdown to exit the car.

I'm perplexed why Lucid would make the update procedures so different between the Air and the Gravity, especially with the Air's being much less cumbersome.

That's false. I know, because that's how I had to do it while the Lucid Mobile App is not working in iOS 26 Beta 3

It was the same experience as the Air for me. You start the update from the pilot panel and the 2 min timer starts to get out of the vehicle.

It was not false in our case. We drove the car for almost an hour before we got home, and I was looking for the dot on the pilot screen to signify an available update, wondering if the notice on the mobile app was a bum steer. I had to open the settings menu on the pilot panel to find a written notice of an available update.

When I used the car's pilot screen to initiate the update, I got the same series of notes we get in the Air about starting the update, requiring you to hit "Next" to move on to the next screen. However, when I got through them all and hit the "Confirm" button, a notice popped up on the screen saying the update could not initiate and that all occupants must first exit the vehicle. Of course, once out of the vehicle it becomes impossible to initiate the update from the car's screens. That's why I turned to the mobile app to initiate the update.

The update is now complete. Took 28 minutes.
