Gravity HUD Position and Clarity Questions

This happened last night for a good 5 miles or so of my trip. It's a piece of junk!

The reason for it is the AR, although that doesn't exist yet. In its present incarnation, I agree, there isn't a need for it.

I ordered mine without HUD. The high driver's display combined with the squirkle steering wheel work very well.
I might have a bit of FOMO once AR arrives, but for now I'm very happy.

The question that was asked was why a HUD would be beneficial if the driver screen is already high and in the field of view. The answer to that question is that it would be beneficial because of the planned AR features that don’t exist yet, which would augment, rather than replicate.

For long road trips I highly recommend a black microfiber towel at least 16x16inch that can be used to on occasion clean the displays, cover the HUD or cover the chrome switches and the pilot display when the sun glare blinds you.

My bad, I thought the current implementation was more of a temporary solution and the AR implementation will be the ground-up fix.

7 day I have had my GGT. HUD the only problem is it to high.

So one cannot change the position (height) of the HUD!? IN my Audi etron I can move up or down the HUD quite easily...that should be possible for such an expensive car as the lucid gravity

It’s adjustable up and down but the default low is too high to start with. Instead of being lower and more bumper / road level it’s at the trunk level of the car in front basically obstructing the car.

I highly doubt that there is a software fix to the HUD vertical range issue (depending on your Seat height). The resolution is likely a mechanical adjustment to components within the HUD module or complete replacement with new HUD that has more vertical software-adjustability.

The AR implementation WILL be a ground-up fix. But will not come until 2030 Gravity when they install an all new HUD that fixes all the issues with the current one.

Yeah, when they buy one off the shelf that comes with an SDK vs making your own and not knowing how to actually get it working

it'd be a shame if they would need revised hardware to implement a proper fix for the HUD. But if they were to do that, I hope they offer owners the opportunity to retrofit like what they did with the old processors in the Air

There should be a stop sale on the HUD until Lucid can actually figure out how to make it work properly. It should never have been released in its current form unless they were going to have the issues fixed in the first few months. That ship has long sailed.
