Gravity HUD Position and Clarity Questions

My current and preferred seating position is with Driver's seat raised to the highest possible level, and backrest upright (almost 90 degrees).

At 5ft10in, my HUD appears dim (not blurry), and if I lower my head slightly forward, HUD appears almost clear/sharp, but slightly tilted upwards on right-side.

If I then lower Driver's seat to half the maximum allowable height, HUD appears perfectly focused and horizontal with no tilt.

Service attempted to adjust my HUD during my 1st appointment in 03/2026, and they found nothing wrong with it. Seems to me like this HUD design has some limitations in vertical adjustability, especially for average to taller people.

Hopefully, just like the CCCv2 upgrade for Airs, Lucid is working on a drop-in replacement for the HUD. I'll gladly pay up to $1000 for this option. Besides the missing native Apple Music app, the HUD is my only other pressing issue.
I love HUDs!

In this thread (post #163) - a few posts above. Scottsdale Service Center did the work (they get the latest stuff).

I wouldn’t! We’ve already paid for it and hasn’t worked properly from day 1. Lucid can eat the costs on anything that is required to fix the HUD.

I tried the HUD early in my Gravity journey, hated it, turned it off almost immediately, and didn't think much about it for a while. Over the last week or so though, I have tried to give it another chance. I still think it kind pretty much sucks, but I think I had a bit of a revelation about it.

Some combination of the windshield and the lenses or cover of the HUD unit make it impossible for me to see a clear image that is not "doubled" somehow unless the image is adjusted to as high as it can go - at least on my car and at my ride height and position. Even then, I have to have my head in the right position (sitting up nice and tall) so that the reflection is higher up on the windshield where it is less curvy. Lower down, I can see the image clearly if I close one eye or the other, but my eyes simply won't combine them into a single clear image with both open. I see double. When the image is placed where I can see the speed clearly, then the triangle blind spot indicators are quite faint, so even when "properly" placed I have some issues.

Given that I can fix it by moving my head and the image settings around, the windshield is at least part of the problem, but there may also be some misalignment with the projector or its lenses that are contributing to the problem. So whether this is a design flaw or a manufacturing one, I don't know.

Or maybe there is something wrong with my eyes, who knows, I can't be 1000% sure, but it sure seems odd that I can focus if it's in the right place but see double in other places.

Overall, I just don't see how this is salvageable at all. I'm close to turning it back off.

BTW, to at least be able to play with it or experiment or have it on sometimes but not others, they really should make it so you can turn it on while driving.

Agree, it’s still not great but 3.6.0 did at least do some minor improvements. The tilting the head thing is frustrating because no matter where I position it the only way to see sharply focused text is to tilt my head slightly forward. This seems to be a common issue with many also.

Who knows if it’s salvageable at this point or if it is, how long before we expect it to be applied to the vehicle.
