Gravity Dream Drive Options

Hello,

This is my first post. As a long time EV owner, I decided to take the Lucid plunge and placed a Gravity order on 4 Jul. after speaking with someone today, they have an in production build available much sooner. The interior and other minor things are different, but the main difference I see is the dream drive. I had ordered the top level Dream Drive, but all that is currently available is the no charge Dream Drive. After 7 Teslas and 2 Rivians, I can live without the “hands off” driving that may or may not come. But I really want to have the highway lane keeping ability. Am I correct to understand the plane Dream Drive does not have that? Attached is the order I placed on the left, and one they found for me on the right. Thanks so much and excited to become a

What's your definition of "highway lane keeping"?

All DreamDrive packages include lane departure protection - this will yell at you and can jerk the wheel if the system detects that you're unintentionally drifting out of your lane. It'll simply ping-pong you between the lane lines with limited logic. This is not the same as Drive Assist, which will actively maintain the lane for you. Drive Assist is only included in Dream Drive Pro.

Welcome. You may want to double, double check with your SA on what you lose because if you were taking Air, you lose drive assist the moment you drop DreamDrive Pro but it looks like things have changed on the Gravity and based on what you're wanting then the base level DreamDrive might suffice

So looks like the key features you'll lose from not getting DD Pro is hands free and automated lane changing.

Thanks everyone. The main thing I was hoping to have is having the car steer for you while resting your hands on the wheel, similar to what comes standard in a Tesla or Rivian. I didn’t necessarily need the top of the line future features, but it appears to get what I would like, the Pro is the only option that has that.

No, I think you'll get what you want with the entry level Dream Drive -

• Hands-on Drive Assist
  
  • Extended Stop & Go
  • Active Curve Speed Control
  • Speed Limit Assist

Drive Assist is Lucid's lane centering ADAS so it will steer for you while keeping your hands on the wheel. Definitely speak to your SA or maybe @marqie could confirm.

I would get sound Pro and comfort package. So I don't like either one of those options to be honest.

Just to follow up, I double checked Lucid’s “compare” page and they have changed the descriptions of what each package includes. It was previously ambiguous which packages included lane centering because the air only included it with Dream Drive Pro and because Lucid did not use the term “lane centering. I’m happy to see that has changed!
