Unfortunately your SA is right, if you are leasing the leasing company made it a requirement that you have a Binder. With mine I had the full new declaration page since I did it days before. They still wanted an insurance Binder. Your insurance can get it for you. I had a mad scramble on delivery day....

Exactly, the true irony, I can walk into any dealership with a personal check and old insurance and no issue. With Lucid the insurance one and ACH / Credit card only was surprising
I don’t know, I took delivery in January of a lease. All I had to do was provide my insurance company and policy number. The Gravity didn’t need to be added before taking delivery. Just as easy as any other car I’ve purchased.

No they don’t it’s B of A. This is just Lucid being stupid. All existing policies have a grace period designed for this exact purpose.
I know, I challenged them on it when they made it a delivery day requirement, I even showed them the text in the policy saying the 30 day grace period. They stuck with the requirement and blamed the Lessor. It wasn't worth fighting so I capitulated. I had been waiting 15 months at that point so it wasn't worth it!
They did the same thing to me when I took delivery last week. I had to call my insurance company and request a couple of changes to satisfy their demands.
