Gravity Delivery Discussion

Random curiosity on the current inventory regarding top range figures. Some models with 20"/21" wheels and the Front and rear Motor show a range of 450 miles. Others with that same configuration show 437 miles. I'm truly not concerned about range and certainly not 13 miles difference but I'm curious what option is causing the difference.
If it's not the wheels and the motor, what is it?
5 seats versus 7 seats. 7 seats are a little heavier, and the EPA testing rounds weight to 500 lbs, which we believe artificially inflates the range impact of the heavier 7 seat configuration.

Here is a cautionary tale in case you are financing and trading an Air towards Gravity. I decided to use PenFed for financing as their originally quoted interest rate was pretty good, 5.54% compared to BofA 6.25%. What I did not realize is that they are rather old school and take a LOT of time with things. Unfortunately Lucid financial services failed repeatedly to generate a correct purchase agreement showing either the down payment I had already made, the correct sales tax, or the updated trade value for my vehicle. This caused PenFed to refuse to finance the lower amount requested because the Lucid Purchase agreement and my financing application had two different numbers for expected $ due from lender. I didn’t want to delay things further (it had been many hours back and forth over 5 days), so I agreed to borrow the higher incorrect amount on the purchase agreement so that PenFed would disburse the $, and Lucid would pay me back the remainder as a refund, so I could actually pick up my car. What I did not realize is that PenFed sends a physical check via FedEx (not overnight) with 2-3 business day delivery, and STILL had not mailed the check out as of 10AM this morning. So I decided to say screw this, I’m not waiting for “check is in the mail” to get my car so I cancelled the loan with PenFed, and instead applied via Bank of America which resulted in rapid approval and 5.49% rate so better than PenFed, and sent the approval letter to my SA. What PenFed couldn’t accomplish in nearly a week BofA seemed to be able to do in an hour. The service people at PenFed were lovely and helped as best they could, but the issue is I needed to take delivery of the car due to a planned trip where I needed 7 seats and was hoping not to rent a car last minute for additional expense. So if you got lots of time on your hands, sure do the credit union thing but between Lucid Financial (they are not Lucid motors but a subcontracted entity) screwing up the purchase agreement repeatedly and PenFed unable to allow me to borrow a lower amount and then taking days to send a check, I lost my patience, and I’m sure made my poor SA think I’m crazy with the frequent texts and emails. Lucid sales people are great at least and I appreciate their patience in accommodating this stupid situation created by Lucid Financial and a slow credit union.

If 7 seat, this would match our want list perfectly. Is it already gone? We want the 21/22 wheels and there seem to be fewer of those.
It was 7. Did it get built and sold to someone else? Did it ever get built? Who knows……
Spent almost 2.5 hours at Lucid Torrance, got to solo test drive AG on 21"
Eye candy for @jbrichgels @WeighingGravity
You are almost to the finish line, your Gravity will be in your hands soon!
Noticed the inspection sheet Lucid is still using

That’s “just” the center console checklist and I think it’s from the manufacturer, Drexlmaier, and not Lucid.

Lease agreement doesn’t get sent until you’re inside of 48 hours. Sounds like you may be, but wanted to clarify.
I have a signed lease agreement for a Gravity due to ship to Florida perhaps by the end of the week. SA says it left production on 9/23, dashboard still says In Production.

Correct.
I had a new center console installed last week and found that checklist in the bottom of the new console.

Took delivery today of a Quantum Grey 7-seater. Most everything is working great except my driver's side mirror will not auto unfold. It folds but won't unfold. I can do it manually but it's a little of an inconvenience. One other funny moment I got into the car and it reclined the seat all the way back for some reason. I had to reset my saved seating position.

If you decide to use the center console wireless phone charger, your phone heats up pretty warm after 45 mins

Note there’s no “check for crazy pinched wire causing all sorts of issues” line item… 🤣
Yeah that’s cuz apparently they don’t check for that. It’s like if you don’t go to the doctor, then you won’t get diagnosed with any diseases.

True. Though that’s fairly common with wireless chargers in general. Especially when there’s really nowhere for the heat to go.

Also, if you decide to use it and it works, you should be happy it works and not complain about the heat!!!! 🔥

Haha but the iPhone stops charging when it gets hot lol

I wonder how much of a discount you could get tomorrow if you showed up to an SC with an inventory Gravity, with a blank check, ready to buy on the spot all cash…

Yes. I noticed. It doesn’t pass through my case. When I took it out of the case and charged it it got pretty warm. I’m likely to design and 3D print my own MagSafe holder/adapter somewhere. Just looking for where I want to put it.

I also got a bunch of retractable USB-C cables to put around the car for passengers. I might 3D print a mount for those so they’re not just flinging around in various cupholders.

Mount it in front of an AC vent and it will charge super fast.

I got a retractable one to put in the armrest USB C outlets. But I feel like an uber driver if I keep cords in the back. If my kids forget to bring them, that’s their issue. 🤣
