Barring some kind of a miracle I won't receive my car for quarter-end - I've been "In Production" almost a month and still no change from that - I don't think I could go into "Preparing for Delivery" and then get my car in the next 24 hours. Part of me is disappointed to still be waiting. Part of me is relieved not to have received a rushed vehicle. Part of me is wondering why I didn't receive a car considering the push and wondering if something is wrong with my car - based on some of the early info I received it seems it should have passed factory gate by now, so did it fail an internal inspection and am I waiting on a new HUD or rear drive unit or something? Part of me is nervous that now that quarter-end is over, Lucid may back off the pressure of delivering - which seemed like a really stupid concept when I heard that last quarter but seems to have been true - and I may continue to wait a while for my vehicle.

Who knows?

I forgot, did you order a HUD? If so, that’s why you’re delayed. The few HUDs they’ve put on the site were clearly orphaned.

Sadly, they will most likely pull back significantly after 9/30. That’s what they did after 6/30. Several SAs literally took days off. Which I get. There’s some way they can “back date” a delivery that’s a day after quarter end, but still. There’s no reason for them to push early or mid quarter.

Sorry you’re still waiting. It will be amazing when you get it (soon) and it will have less bugs!!!
 
I think I am on the same boat. i do have a pick up for 4 pm tomorrow of the new Gravity GT. However, my lease agreement is not ready to be signed, my trade in documents are not ready and I am also concerned about rushing the vehicle to me to then sit in the shop while some of those items are fixed. Besides, this is a crazy week for me at work.

It has the highest TSER (Total Solar Energy Rejection) of any window tint. Even their 70% light transmission film is better than most other brand’s higher % films. It’s ideal for windshields and obviously for other areas using the higher percentages . I’ve been using it on all my cars for over 10 years. Great for places like AZ.

They also make great PPF films. I have it on my Lucid Air:

Lease agreement doesn’t get sent until you’re inside of 48 hours. Sounds like you may be, but wanted to clarify.
 
Does every Gravity have the interior listed in the driver and front passenger door sill plate? It’s a super cool touch I noticed a while ago. For example, mine says “Tahoe” and has lat and long. I expect Ojai says “Ojai”, etc…

I like them. They install easily, fit well without undue sagging, and really reduce sun glare. They do, however, reduce the sense of airiness in the cabin, but the Gravity interior is big enough for it still not to feel claustrophobic.

Don’t they have something like 20 clips per shade? That and the price scared me off.

This is the irony of appealing-sounding features that a manufacturer can't get right, such as key fobs and frunk operation in Lucid's case. After three shop visits to repair/realign our Air frunk (including one that required a tow because of a jammed lid putting the car into limp mode), we no longer use the frunk. And, given what multiple people here are reporting about the Gravity frunk lid's balkiness, we won't be using the Gravity frunk either.

So, in effect, the remarkably capacious frunks Lucid manages to create are not really usable because they can't get the open/close mechanism right.

No, the shades only require 4-8 clips each, depending on the size of the shade. (The rear Gravity shade is huge.)

However, you have to be sure the are snapped securely into place on the shade frame, as we've had a couple come loose in the Air and the Gravity after a while. (The shade kits come with some extra clips if you need them, although we haven't so far.)

I just installed the Lucid mats in my new Gravity… look great and should wear better than the carpets which will live in the garage until I someday sell it.

DE, so, yes, HUD. I honestly don't even want the damn thing. If they'd give me a DE without HUD and with Power I'd take it in a heartbeat. I think this HUD thing is going to be something we look back on in 2-3 years and say "yeah, that never panned out to be what it was cracked up to be."

You may be right about the hud… but I find myself using it more than I expected to… and as tall as I am, I am not looking at display as often… head tilted to display… but not fully up display…

Yes, there is some likelihood of this.

If they get it right at some point, I could see its utility for navigation purposes. However, I really wish the display could be moved lower in your field of vision.

I don't know if that's something that could be done via software or whether it's limited by the projector position or design.

The GGT you canceled was loaded without Tech?

:( we use both of ours constantly. We had the Air frunk latches replaced once ever, and it fixed it 🤷‍♂️

Yes. Per my signature: Black, Tahoe, Stealth, 21/22, all options except with power package in place of tech. I did go to "In Production" for that one just a few days before my DE, and I elected to keep the DE.

We first had to have the latches adjusted by a mobile tech. They later had to replaced by the Service Center. Then the struts also had to be replaced. When the lid jammed and put the car into limp mode it was because the hinge bolts had loosened and thrown the lid out of alignment. So, at one point or another, latches, struts, and hinges all failed. There is no way I'd put anything in that frunk to which I have to be sure of access.

I'm not even going to risk starting down that path with the Gravities given what has been posted here. They have enough rear cargo capacity for anything we'd need to do.

Right now, it's only balkiness in opening the Gravity frunk that people are reporting . . . but that's how things began with our Air frunk.
