Gravity Delivery Discussion

I have a newborn and three small dogs so it’s a hard no for white seats.

SAs can see cancelled and unallocated VINs.

I’ve been told it’s the Sales Managers that have more visibility of the order statuses.
Funny enough, I picked the Yosemite because we have a white border collie & any other seat color is visible.

TireRack has PZ5 back in stock, an error on their part caused them to disappear and apparently someone from TireRack was in my Facebook group and spotted my post and escalated up the chain and got the site fixed.

At the speed of light!

Got an email today from my SA. Apparently my Gravity order has been assigned to a batch #, which represents progress, but doesn't come with any specific estimate for production dates. GGT, White, 5 seat, 20"/21" wheels, and with HUD. So yet another sign that the issues limiting production are being addressed, and things are ramping up.

All in all, I'm not sad about a likely production date in Q4, as I'm happy to miss the worst of the first quarter of teething pains being discussed here. And I guess I'm happy to not have a vehicle produced during an end-of-quarter push to show better numbers.

I was actually a bit relieved to give up my GDE for a GT that will produced in 2027. Hopefully we'll have CarPlay by then too :)

Seems like our second GGT is through production as a bunch of software updates dated 9/4 showed up yesterday. Up to 3.2.2 - so not throw away ones like the beginning.

It has been only about 10-14 days since it went into production and still shows as “In Production”…

Can I convince my wife this one will have no issues so she should take it? Hmm…

While there's still a lot of discussion happening about the bugs owners are finding in the Gravity, I'll note that the number of new owners showing up in the bugs thread to complain has dropped way off, even though the delivery volume is increasing. I take that as a very good sign that Lucid is addressing the hardware problems that turned up in their early vehicle. And that the most recent software updates has been good enough that most new owners don't see the need to seek out this forum and complain. As long as the next software update actually does come out soon, my guess is that she'll be happy with it if you can convince her.

Service tech told me today that Software version 3.3 rolling out imminently, if not today. Expected to fix many, if not all, software issues. Don't shoot the messenger if this doesn't happen soon. Just passing on what I was told.

On a serious note, are people on 22/23” wheels blowing up their tires already?

TireRack does not seem to stock a single PZ5 outside of a single close out item.

On the other hand, EBay is selling multiple Lucid specific PZ5s that have been patched with almost full tread.
Probably that Dream Edition being used by Magazines for testing Quarter Miles:)

To be fair, it’s not like Lucid has been forthcoming with any information on the Touring
My SA said I could be the first one to put in an order for it in the last minute of the year :)

As I mentioned a while back, we should watch our phones for app updates. Prior to 3.2.2 Lucid updated the phone apps before pushing the update to all cars. Not sure if this is typical though…

Our car has had 3.2.2 -- the current software version -- since the second week after delivery. The bizarre software behavior (such as frozen images from 15 minutes earlier showing up in the supposedly real-time blind spot display) has occurred with the current software the even the most recent deliveries are running.

But for audio issues, I think most bugs mentioned here are present in 3.2.2.

I’d also like them to remove the calypso-style Harry Belafonte sample sounds for opening the frunk and trunk. I am generally not picky about sounds, but they’re absurd. I’d rather have a cowbell…

I would certainly prefer a jazz flute.

Low on the list. I prioritize my fob working!

Yeah, I do think any purchaser who doesn't want a lot of early-vehicle bugs will want to wait for the next version. If the next update is really going to be 3.3, that's a sign that Lucid thinks it's a substantial change that should make a lot of improvements. But it's also a sign that people may want a 3.3.1 to fix the bugs that new major versions can have.

Our VW id.Buzz plays a five-note jingle any time it turns on or off, and the notes are almost exactly identical to "Weird Al" Yankovic's "Dare to be Stupid".

(It's actually extremely appropriate, given how frustrating, annoying and nonsensical the software is on that vehicle. I could write a dissertation on every infuriating decision VW made when putting that UI together.)

Clearly you’re mistaken. It’s only Lucid that has software issues…..

question for those of you who have been farther into the delivery process than I have:

Now that my online portal shows "in production" status, I can click on "Owners Manual and Software Updates" and I see my VIN. Underneath that, where I think I should get something like an owners manual and information on my current software version, I see:

"An unexpected error has occurred.
Error: Request failed:
Try reloading the page to view the latest version specific to your VIN.
Alternatively, you can view the Owner’s Manual PDF.
The PDF may be an earlier version and may not be up to date with the latest changes."

I am assuming this is crapping out because my car hasn't actually been built yet. Does this jibe with what others have experienced? If this starts to show me something real, I presume I can infer that the car will have at least rolled off the line and been booted up?

Several recent deliveries including mine didn't see anything there until at/after delivery.

I just emailed them and am scheduling a time to go in this week to get the Gravity scanned! Will keep you posted.
Do you know if they scanned for cargo mat? with and without third row down?
