Gravity Delivery Discussion

My sales advisor contacted me Friday Aug 29 and advised my GDE Aurora Green, Tahoe, 20”/21” was at the factory and ready to be delivered. Asked me to complete my ID, Insurance & finance app in the dashboard. I do not see a VIN in the dashboard as of yet.

What’s the current lease/finance offers I should be asking for?

I ended up leasing a Rivian while waiting in Nov 2024 (24 mos) and debating trading the Model Y or delaying delivery.
Do not complete any financing info until you have a delivery date. Approval is only good for 30+/- days.

Also, there are no lease deals (except the $7,500 tax credit) and no finance deals. Lowest finance rates usually come from credit unions. There are no incentives on Gravity. If you want incentives, you probably need to wait until this time next year - give or take.

Do you have a confirmed date or an estimated date?
On 8/21 my SA called and said the GT was made, and should be in my driveway in roughly 2 weeks. He emailed me 8/27 and said it was being shipped to Chicago on 8/28 and then it would be inspected and delivered to me in the Detroit area a few days later. So I expect to finalize payment and schedule the delivery but am also prepared for minor delays, thanks to this forum.

For background I ordered on 11/7/24, first noticed a VIN and saw In Production on my dashboard around 8/19/25.

Black GGT, 5 Seater, Yosemite, 21/22, comfort, handling, power outlets.

I noticed mine had gone into production maybe a day or two after yours (around 8/21), and it had a VIN attached at that time as well according to the website. I still have not received any call or email from my advisor about this or any delivery estimate, even though he assured me he'd reach out as soon as there was news. I guess I should reach out to him to see if he can provide any kind of delivery timeframe estimate, but I almost don't want to because judging by posts here, those estimates seem to bear zero resemblance to what actually happens anyway. Not the SA's fault - he didn't make the system, and he's not causing the delays.

Not even mad about it - as long as I get my car, I'm happy. But it's inherently frustrating (and even embarrassing, when people ask about it!) not knowing when.

My SA has routinely said 30-45 days from
Production start to delivery. It’s been accurate for recent deliveries - but certainly not for early ones and some folks who got “stuck” early on. Anyone in production now I’d expect Lucid to do EVERYTHING they can to deliver by 9/30. Got to show continued delivery growth and Gravity ramp.

Do I want active cabin filtration? Its the only feature I think I might want in the Comfort and Convenience package.
Nevermind, I dropped a couple features and my SA came back with a couple VINs (West Palm).
I gave up towing and Comfort and Convenience and added Dynamic Handling.
Grand Touring
Aurora Green
Stealth
Glass Canopy
20/21 Onyx Gray
Tahoe Leather
Luxury Seating
7 passenger
Dream Drive Premium
Surreal Sound
Dynamic Handling
Power Package

I don’t know why they would make ANY cars without power package - should be standard. But it was probably a supply issue. I had to give it up to get mine though.

Definitely wouldn’t get C&C for air alone. If you didn’t want the other features, that’s awesome.

The power package was a must have for me. It looks like the main holdup was the towing. From what I can see here the max tongue weight makes the tow package almost useless. It was a nice to have for us anyway. My dashboard says In Production!

On your dashboard your VIN is under the link "Owner’s manual & Software Updates"
Go to Design Yours > max the configure since GDE requires a unique link > click on the Calculator for lease/finance options
PenFed used by most from the forum got as low as 4.69%
I do have a VIN. 4335x

Does this mean delivery is truly iminet and I should complete penfed process ?

No. Do not complete financing until you get a delivery date. Approval will be quick but only lasts 30 days or so and several folks have had issues with getting approved before car is in transit or you know it’s at SC…

My incessant refreshing of my Lucid Dashboard has finally yielded results!
I have a VIN and the dashboard says In Production!

No email or other contact from my SA, but she has just transferred to be the Delivery Manager at Scottsdale. She emailed almost 2 weeks ago saying a new SA would be assigned, but that hasn't happened yet. So I am not surprised that I haven't been contacted yet.

GDE Aurora Green, Tahoe, 7-seat, 21/22" wheels.
You and I are on the same production build!!! Hug congrats johns! We have exactly the same build. Good luck brother!

GGT order 3/23 Ojai/bronze fully loaded
GDE upgraded 4/8 AG/Yosemite

Once we saw Tahoe in person and the durability concerns about Perluxe, Tahoe became a better option...and was told it would arrive sooner than Yosemite.
Mine is tracking the same time frame - makes sense!

Did you order both GDE & GGT with the intention to buy/lease both or deposited on GGT to see if it would provide a quicker delivery than the GDE?
I changed/upgraded from GGT to GDE. I am a poor private sector consultant working for the government at half pay. lol

Thanks. The SA made it sound like it wouldn't leave the factory until I completed these steps. I could just change to cash on delivery and show up with a PenFed check.

Interesting, my SA said not to do anything until delivery was imminent and he will let me know.

Lol still can afford $20k+ for GDE
My SO already complained the price of GGT, but yesterday seeing the Ioniq 9 in person they agreed Gravity is worth the premium price
Appears that Lucid got the HUD parts in & ramping up production for GDE this past week 💯

Just picked up GDE #53 from the Goose Island Chicago service center and drove it back down to St. Louis. After five years with a couple of Teslas - a Model 3 Performance and later a Model X Plaid - I can honestly say I’m blown away by the Gravity.

There’s definitely a bit of an adjustment to the interface and controls after living in the Tesla ecosystem for so long, but it drives like an absolute dream. I don’t feel like I’ve lost any punch compared to the Plaid, and the overall ride quality is incredible.

The size of the interior space compared to the X is on another level, and the seats and suspension make it feel like you’re gliding. On top of that, the sense of luxury throughout the cabin is something Tesla never really came close to in the models I had.

First impressions? Zero regrets making the switch - this thing feels like the future.
