Gravity Delivery Discussion

Thanks for the info, Tesla just announced the Luxe package - guess their supposed "refresh" for S / X has not moved the sales meter much
Have you looked at that interior? We loved our Model S and X, though they had quite spartan interiors compared to the Lucid, but the images of the new Luxe interior looked downright repellent to me…

I got my lucid level 2 home charger installed 2 weeks ago (100 amp breaker). Yesterday I was excited to try charging our new gravity for the first time. I got a message charger connected then preparing to charge followed by clicking sound in the charging unit and a message charging has stopped. I called customer Service and they recommended restarting the home charger. I did that and it seemed to fix the issue. Today the same thing happened, but restating the charger didn’t seem to help. Any idea what could be the problem? Do I need to get back the electrician who installed it?

Check out this forum. Should help you out.
Refer to this thread, essential you need to open up the wall charger & change it to 56A to charge the Gravity

Yes I did, hence why I put a deposit on the GT after my test drive. I am coming for 2016 MX & looking to update after 9 years. As an early 2013 S & 2016 X adopter - the new S / X quality is no longer the same

Compared to the original S/X interior, the refreshed one from 2022 onward (I waited for their refresh to get my X) is quite a bit better in terms of fit and finish and generally a much more cohesive design. But yeah, the design language is still spartan, and the Gravity beats it in terms of luxury and ergonomics.

I got a notification today that there’s a 0.5lb FedEx 2 day package from local SC to my house. I guess it’s the speed form. I got my hopes up at first and hoped it was the frunk cushion…

Speed form is a nice gesture, but if that’s what it is, they certainly don’t need to FedEx 2 day it. I’d rather have a $30 credit to the Lucid Shop.

Let me know if their offer is competitive. As I am debating Carvana, CarMax for trade in for my MX
Atleast for me their offer was way better than carmax. I ll let you know for sure after the video call inspection today.

Don't get hopes up to high if you have a white Gravity on order like I do. Out of several hundred Gravity on the staging lots, there were only about 16 white Gravity today. The rest are Green and Black with the number of black increasing. Below are pictures from the West staging lots, there was only one white Gravity on the East side. I will post a full flyover video when I finish editing it.

No hopes for Supernova Bronze

With you, but I view this as optimistic. I've had my order in place since the day the orderbook opened. Thanks for these images, they are evidence the white units are in production. My rep said they would start in August and he was accurate. We will see those percentages increase with time. BTW it's pretty cool to be able to pick out the white/stealth combo from those photos, they stand out.

Especially when there's so few service centers.

I've always owned legacy vehicles (mostly Fords), where the dealership is 10 minutes away. The only Lucid service center in my state is an hour from me, and I'm probably lucky to have one that close. I've never experienced mobile service before, but I'm guessing that will be pretty limited on the issues it can handle.

All part of the risks of buying a car from a fledgling EV automaker, I suppose. I knew this going in and am willing to take the risk (I'm more concerned about them even being in business in 3 years), but it's still a little scary. But I wouldn't being doing this if I couldn't afford to take the loss if it doesn't pan out.
We have two Tesla's and the closest repair showroom is in Detroit, 2 hours south. We've used their mobile service for darned near everything. It's pretty amazing what they're able to pull of at your house. Stuff I never though they could or would. Door handle motors/mechanisms on the S. Trunk auto latching mechanism. Tire swapping, light assemblies. All have gone really well. I've read Lucid does the same and the results from those who did it were good.

I did previously check how much Lucid will accept via CC at time of pick up but results indicated only Wire / ACH / Cashier's check only.
After seeing your post - messaged my SA he noted only $5,000 (maybe a California limit)
Hopefully it will be the higher $8,000 or more 🤣
Skymiles......medallion status!

Been a busy weekend but I did pick up my GDE (#086) a few days ago, which was several weeks ahead of the updated expected delivery date after failing the final inspections before delivery. So far, it has met and exceeded all of my expectations; what a blast to drive! Same as most I only received the single fob but it has, knock on wood, worked flawlessly thus far. I have not had to use one of the cards yet.
I haven't tried charging (yet) but was able to get both garage doors programmed with homelink and have functioned as expected. The HUD, while still functionally limited, has also exceeded my expectations (admittedly my expectations were pretty low coming in). It was also delivered as I requested without the aero covers installed on the 21-22" wheels and with the lug and hub covers instead installed (seems to be some variation with this but I prepaid for the parts for this to happen). I was also surprised to see the DE bears were also not installed and delivered separately which will help a lot with the PPF install. I was told and expecting this to not be an option so was pleasantly surprised when it came this way.
As a bonus, and surprise to both me and my SA, the frunk came with a special gift; the DE funk seat! It was the first they had seen at the Denver studio. I will get the other fob and other DE gifts shipped to me later.
The only real "negatives" so far is there were 2 loose trim pieces in the trunk. I later found these are supposed to cover an area on the trunk lid near the taillight area. There was also some adhesive strips in this area but didn't seem to help much in holding the left and right trim pieces where they should go. I will leave these off until I need to have a service call for something more pressing. I can't recall but someone else may have a similar issue as well?
Also, moving the 2nd row seats back and forth sounds a little "rough" like something catches at times. It may be the multi-part trim pieces that expand out and contract. I have also heard some creaks and rattles from the 2nd row (nothing not already called out) but I'm wondering if these same plastic seat glide trim pieces aren't part of the issue.
Finally, I want to give a shoutout to my SA. While like most things in life, it can be hit or miss on the level of service and care you get but I really enjoyed my SA and felt like he went above and beyond on many occasions. I would definitely do business with him again in the future. At the same time, I feel for the others who have had subpar experiences with their SAs.

I was supposed to be picking up my DE yesterday at 12:00. I got a text from my SA Friday night at 8:00 saying “ there is a stop sale on all Gravitys “ No explanation about why? My pickup is now scheduled for this Saturday. Anyone else hear about this?

Not sure what they’re talking about. My SA called me today and said they just started the process of building my Gravity DE and it should be ready in 30-60 days.

Whatever it is, it can’t be too bad if you got a rescheduled date a week later. Usually a stop sale comes with no ETA. Unless it’s software related and they’re releasing an OTA this week.

Yeah, I think I remember them doing something like this before when one of the previous updates came out...they wouldn't release the car until the update was applied before delivery. So I would hazard a guess that HC_79 is correct and that a software update is imminent.

I’m sure hoping that’s all it is. This is my 4th cancellation of delivery over a 3 week timeframe

I am also getting mine in Denver. Did you use Jeff Hunley?
