No, you're right. Better to get off on the best foot possible post delivery. I am really interested in the near term GDE progress as I am sort of wondering if maybe they are either nearing out of stock status on existing HUD HW or they are now paying extra attention to it based on the problems a few people have experienced. Not too many other failed parts I can think of that would be a month+ out unless something is going to affect GGT production as well. Hopefully I can get some feedback soon on what caused the fail.

Another experience to add to the delivery database:

My account dashboard changed to "Preparing for Delivery" three days ago. Based on member posts, I thought that meant my car was at the service center (sc) for PDI. Heard from my SA today that it's due at her sc tonight or tomorrow.

No OTA updates showing on dashboard yet. I thought At least one s/w update would be pushed before shipping. I'm guessing some have been loaded, just not showing on dashboard.

My guess is both are true. I think they are completely out of HUD units and waiting on a new shipment that (hopefully) addresses the optics artifacts.

Not saying this is the failure, it certainly shouldn’t be, but power outlets seem to be in short supply for some reason. Or there’s an issue with them/the system. All the “inventory” Gravity about which I’ve heard recently are sans power package.

Unfortunately I wasn't planning for that quick of a turnaround with what the SA had been telling me just yesterday when the car arrived in SoCal with the first week of August being more realistic for pickup - I'm already headed out of town for a planned work trip so alas I will have to wait till next week to pick this thing up but I'm so excited!

Depends on how long inspection takes and seeing as how J-Dub just had bad luck with inspection failure I'm still keeping my expectations low. I will update when something happens!

Are you in CA? Just curious what impacted the quick delivery versus a GDE black order from November 2024.

Yep, CA, NorCal. So must've caught California's Best car hauler's trip haha.

Not sure what impacted the timeline, honestly I'm quite surprised. I can ask my SA if he has any insights but his timeline estimate was pretty accurate so far.

not me! i'm getting pretty frustrated. I'm curious - is anyone actually receiving their own order lately, or are we all fighting over so-called "orphans?" Are they in fact orphans at all, or is the factory just making what they make and then offering them out through SAs?

I got mine last Saturday. It was two weeks after I modified my order. SA was great. Green 21/22 Tahoe stealth all options except HUD and 3rd row. Great drive. We are working out some minor details. Basic screen info makes the HUD unnecessary cost.
It looks to me that they are trying to build to satisfy customers within the limits of available parts.

I’ve not seen or heard about the Mojave interiors being delivered or in studio. The demo drive GGTs they took around the country had Yosemite (at least the two I saw)…that’s the only interior I’ve seen other than Tahoe.

To give you some more hope (maybe?)...as mentioned a couple days ago in this thread, mine is now "Preparing for Delivery" and on its way to HOU right now.

There's something wonky going on with the Dashboard on the Lucid website. The image of the Black Gravity DE we have on order has been switched from a black car to an Aurora Green car.

I've quit trying to find out when it will be delivered, as I'm in no hurry to get it given the issues we're having with the green Gravity DE we've already received. But I guess I'd better contact my SA to be sure the configuration hasn't somehow gotten changed in the system. (The green is a great color, but we don't want two of them.)
